For such an expensive toy, one would think that this playset would be durable and high quality. Not so! After having assembled competing products from Fisher-Price, etc, I can easily tell that this is a flimsy playset that won't last very long in a house of rambunctious kids. None of the parts screw together, they're all snap-in, and while that makes assembly easy, the ramps pop off with barely any effort. It has a vaguely Euro-feel to it, but it's made in China just like the rest of the toys in this genre, and cheaply, too! Don't waste your money (especially with the high shipping fee)!

When I bought it there were no reviews on Amazon. Too bad. Here a a few of the problems with this toy garage. The ramps on the right and left that go to the ground do not sit properly and sort of hang about a centimeter (1/2 inch) above the ground. The elevator is difficult to operate by an adult or a child as the crank at the top is stiff and the base does not support any king of torsional movement. The front portion of the base is not actually attached to the garage and slides away constantly. The guard rails at the top of the garage fall out constantly. The ramp on the right side of the garage falls out constantly. Other pieces fall out/off constantly. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Why is it so hard to find a decent to garage?

Huge hit, but broke immediately,

Was thrilled to support my son's nursery school fundraiser by purchasing toys via Constructive Playthings and give back to the school, and even more excited to give this garage to my son for his birthday. Turned out to be a bummer when the knob to the elevator broke off almost immediately and cannot be re-attached - the fun part was basically over. Paper parking spots were flimsy as were the blue plastic guard railings - the plastic ramps do not stay in place well and everything overall comes apart way to easily even for the most careful of young boys - and my son is not a toy breaker....so, I would pass on this one and I have written a complaint to the toy company....

I purchased this garage for my 4 year old daughter since she loves playing with matchbox cars with dad. She seems to enjoy it very much and likes using the elevator and ramps. The quality is pretty good for an all plastic toy. I did wind up glueing a couple pieces on that would not stay in place. This was the blue railing pieces on the top of the garage. Now that those pieces are glued in, it is very sturdy and I believe will hold up for a long time. Overall I would recommend this parking garage over others as it is pretty sturdy compared to other plastic ones that just fall apart.

When I bought this garage there were no reviews on Amazon. This product is all plastic and horribly constructed. It is not level and the crank to bring the elevator up and down is hard to do for an adult, let alone a child. The front piece of the garage does not even clip onto the rest of the garage it is free floating and every time you move it something pops off. I would recommend you throw your money out with the garbage rather than buy this item.

We bought this for my son and it just didn't hold up!! He plays cars every day, and treated this very gently. It still fell apart and we eventually had to throw it away. The blue fences on the top wouldn't stay in, so we took them off completely. The ramps were cool for awhile, but one of them kept falling off. My husband duct-taped it on, which didn't look great, but even that wouldn't hold it. The car wash didn't last long either. We are now looking for a garage for our twin boys to play with and will be looking elsewhere. Don't buy this one. Huge disappointment!!

My son loves racing his matchbox cars and I thought this would be the perfect garage for him. It's not! The plastic is thin and feels cheap. The ramp and fence pieces pop off constantly. The front car wash piece does not connect to the rest of the garage and slides all over our floors . Also, the elevator mechanism is difficult for little (and adult) hands to manipulate. One of the worst toys I have bought. I will keep it until it breaks (probably another week or so).

We bought this garage last Christmas for our son. The garage itself is very cute, and we thought this was going to be a hit with both our son, and our daughter since they both enjoy playing cars. However, within just 1 month it started breaking and falling apart. I hate to be so critical, but this product is junk, and expensive junk at that. This year, we will be replacing this plastic garage with a sturdy, wooden garage, and hopefully will have better luck!

I purchased this toy for my son when he was 3 years old and he played with it every single day for over 3 years! I recently tried to throw it away and he wouldn't allow it (he's 8 1/2 now!). The garage was very durable and provided hours and hours imaginative play. It's actually a great toy for the price!

This toy is very durable. I know because my son and his friends have taken it apart and put to back together many times. He does get a little bored with it, though. And the elevator sticks a little. But it is a good toy, and several of his neighbor friends have fun playing with it when they come over.
