This review is from: Consultation for Contemporary Helping Professionals (Paperback)
As someone who has done IT consulting for many years, I wish that I would have had a book like this before I started on my consulting activities. It contains much good advice for anyone doing consulting in any area. It talks not only about formal contracts, something of which almost all consultants are aware, but it also talks about psychological contracts -- what they are; how they work; and their renegotiation. This book is worth the price just for the information on psychological contracts. I found the entire book a worthwhile read. I especially liked the section on issues of gender, disability, and racioethnic issues in consulting.

I have one problem with the book that I bought. It is not about content; rather it s a physical problem with the book. I bought the paper bound version to save money. That was a mistake. The pages were falling out after about two weeks before I had finished reading the book. I would recommend that anyone who wants to buy this book spend the extra money for the hard bound edition.
