5.0 out of 5 stars First class text- engaging to read
This text is not only well organized, but the humorous narrative through the text keeps you laughing while learning. No doubt the authors have found through their research that humor engages the learning centers in the brain while keeping the student's attention. Highly recommended. Consumer psychology is not as intuitive as one might think but the authors do a great job...

2.0 out of 5 stars Reads like a picture book
Seriously don't know why this was required reading. Maybe if you're studying Marketing in undergrad but this was required for one of my MBA classes. Total waste of money!

This text is not only well organized, but the humorous narrative through the text keeps you laughing while learning. No doubt the authors have found through their research that humor engages the learning centers in the brain while keeping the student's attention. Highly recommended. Consumer psychology is not as intuitive as one might think but the authors do a great job of systematically breaking the concepts down into digestible sections. Highly recommended for MBAs in marketing fields.

Consumer Behavior has been invaluable in understanding the techniques of Marketing in today's world. The global economy is well covered as well, making this an excellent reference for the student. I highly recommend this book for any marketing student.

As a marketing major, this consumer behavior textbook has been an asset to my learning so far. Very descriptive with many graphic examples. Uses outside knowledge from today that help the reader to stay alert and interested.

The book is in good condition and the shipping was fast. It's always nice to interact with another good seller upon Amazon referencing the products purchased.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad condition, October 4, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was quite saddened by the condition of the book when it arrived. Both front and back cover of the book were basically off (now completely off along with some of the pages). As for the book itself, it was in pretty good condition, with little to no writing throughout the text.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Textbook, February 9, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Hate to say it, but this textbook is not as boring as other textbooks you may find out there. The book incorporates companies around the world in order to provide the reader with great examples. The only issue I see is the author now has an excuse to constantly come up with new editions just by coming up with new examples.

1.0 out of 5 stars do NOT buy. consumer behaviour, michael solomon, 8th edition., February 12, 2010

I feel less intelligent from reading this book. If you can avoid it, dont buy it. It's written poorly, and the examples are terrible. It's not consise, and the chapters are just drawn out. A lot of the so called 'key terms' are just the authors own opinion of key terms and they are not supported by any proper definition. The summaries at the end of the chapters are also poor and dont effectively summarise anything. Poor read; avoid.
