I was looking in my Sept 2013 print issue and page 4 shows a nice little box indicating that Print Subscribers get the iPad app for free but not for Kindle. I pay for print subscription AND the online web addition and neither of those entitles me to the Kindle version? Not cool consumer reports.

3.0 out of 5 stars Magazine content is great but... December 3, 2011
By M. Lam
It can be a little difficult to read on the Fire. Looking at the whole page without zooming in, the print is small and you can zoom in but it gets a little grainy. Don't get me wrong, it's still readable, but could use some improvement. Also has the option for text-only view versus page view but I personally like to read it like a magazine is supposed to be read. Still it's ok enough for 3 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes Reading Magazines Fun Again! December 28, 2011
I was not sure what to expect when I bought my first issue, but was very happy the way it reads on the iPad! I had fun flipping through the pages and zooming in and out. Photos are nice. With the zoom feature there is no longer such a thing as print that is too small to read. Nice! What I really like is not having to worry about having paper magazines lying around.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice to have Kindle, but slow for updates January 2, 2012
Like getting the Consumer Reports, but I find it a bit slower then getting the hardcopy. The good thing is the hardcopy won't be sitting around the house and the landfills will be one less. Hope to see more like this in the future.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not get access to online version January 29, 2014
I purchased consumer report on Kindle through Amazon. This subscription does not include on line access or even a customer number.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE my Kindle Fire May 8, 2012
Verified Purchase
Contrary to an other's review, I think that this product is very easy to read on my Kindle Fire and I see no blurriness at all. And, $2.00 per magazine is a very small price to pay for convenience of use and NO paper trail to contend with; no garbage or recycling. Can read anyplace, any time, even in the dark. I think CR is a great magazine. It keeps me informed on what's out there, what's good and what's bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Consumer Reports. Of course it's good May 25, 2012

I didn't buy a subscription to CR, but I buy different issues that appeal to me because of their feature products. But by the issue or by subscription CR gives a leg up on many of the products we all need and gives solid and dependable information based on their own testing. I work as an Internet Service Provider and so I was interested in what this issue had to say about privacy, and found it credible and informative, reaffirming risks I was aware of and informing me of some I wasn't. Much better than the online reviews out there, often skewed with bogus postings or based on irrelevant biases, Consumer Reports remains a solid provider of information on the things we buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars try one first January 4, 2013

this was a magazine my husband wanted to read so we tried one issue first before subscribing. Not full detail like a hard copy but enough to make it worth your while.
