This review is from: Contact Cards: An Extraterrestrial Divination System (Hardcover)
This deck has 60 square cards, with 5 suits of 12 cards each. The suits are Aliens, Spaceships, Stars, Planets, & Crop Circles. It only has 2 colors... the border is colored and the center image is black/white. I just got it yesterday so I can't comment on how durable the card stock is, but it seems pretty good. Not thick like some decks I have, but not flimsy either. Its also hard to divine a meaning from looking just at the picture.
I found this deck difficult to use because I had to rely heavily on the book for interpretation. But it was very accurate, it always hit the question dead on and gives good advice. Each card has a shadow meaning, but they don't count upside-down cards and u have to use intuition to decide whether to use the normal or shadow interpretation. If u are familiar with extraterrestrial archetypes & lore (which I am not), it may be easier to interpret this deck. But for me, it will take a while to get used to because the images don't trigger my intuition. Still, I like this deck because the cards just jump out of my hand while shuffling. They deal themselves, like they have a life of their own, and gives excellent advice. |
