I have the first complete Dog Brothers set in 10 or 12 volumes (my aging memory can't quite recall at this point), and I like everything that they have done. I am a ranked in both kali and escrima and JKD, and have been an instructor myself for some years, and their simple, no-nonsense approach to the FMA has influenced my own work. I still teach all the original syllabuses of my arts, but it is now with an eye toward practicality, simplicity, and effectiveness. This volume concentrates on defense and certain specialized strikes. Because of the speed of the stick, parrying and blocking can be a neglected art in the FMA, and this video covers all the basics. I'm a big fan of everything they have done, and despite some of the controversy that exists, there is no doubt that they have influenced the FMA for the better.
