About the Author

ANTHONY de MELLO, S.J., (1931–1987) is the author of many spiritual bestsellers, including Sadhana, Awareness, and The Way to Love. A native and lifelong resident of India, de Mello taught throughout the world, and his books have been translated into more than thirty-five languages.

If your prayer life has faded or become stale; if you think "God knows what I want better than I do, why pray?," or you find yourself ending each prayer with "If it is Your will" and feeling nothing is different after your prayer than before; if you've stopped praying altogether: try this book.

Grounded in scripture, simple in structure and style, this is the most helpful book I have found on the subject of prayer.

This book presents teachings de Mello gave to others... a powerful message and teaching. Also perfect, is the only live full-length Conference that de Mello allowed to be recorded, "Wake Up to Life," which is on audio CD.
He gives a beautiful spiritual program with exercises in "A Way to God for Today," film which de Mello speaks directly to the Viewer.
There is also film of de Mello speaking with Live audiences, "A Rediscovery of Life." And, "Wake Up! Spirituality for Today." They are Marvelous...

amazing, and powerful! Father DeMello writings and transmission of his personal experience, opened my husband up to the use and importance of prayer.
