The bonus tracks "Pray" & "Holy Hell" are worth the price, November 15, 1999

The US version was my favorite 1998 CD...but two of the three import bonus tracks, ( "Pray" & "Holy Hell"), are really interesting, so if you like Mr. Robertson, you'll really enjoy this CD, even at the much higher price. Note: "Pray" appears on the VHS "Going Home" documentary...Should you be wondering, I have studied this, as I've prepared a collection of remixes, bonus tracks and alternate edits...The song listing for this japanese version is wrong. It's just like the US version through "The Lights". Then come the bonus tracks "Holy Hell", "Pray", and yes, a second version of "Making a Noise", referred to as the Midnight Special mix. The CD ends with "Take Your Partner" just like the US version...

The first encounter, May 10, 1999

This was the first album I ever bought/heard by RR, actually the first time I became acquinted with him. When listening to Unbound I just shivered. Beautiful, touching, moving. This is the real thing. This is a tribute to Native Americans. I may be far away, but Robbie has brought me near the Native Spirit, and I''m grateful.

Reach for the sky music, January 6, 2008

Robbie demonstrates yet again his mastery of music, combining traditional American Indian sound with modern technology to create a sound unlike any other. Robbie IS Alter-Native sound, a genius whose music, demonstrated over the years as far back as THE BAND is nothing short of unparalleled.
