Contaminant Hydrogeology,
By A Customer
This review is from: Contaminant Hydrogeology (2nd Edition) (Hardcover)
Excellent book for introduction into contaminant hydrogeology; however, not very detailed on groundwater modeling and remediation. The section on Mass Transport is very easy to understand and well layed out. Would like to have seen more examples.

This review is from: Contaminant Hydrogeology (2nd Edition) (Hardcover)
The author does a good job of presenting the basic hydrogeologic principles (i.e., darcy's law, scalar, vector and tensor properties of hydraulic head and conductivity) needed to understand the subject matter without unneccessary overlap from his previous work Applied Hydrogeology. The book covers mass transport in saturated media, transformation and attenuation of solutes, vadose zone, multiphase flow, inorganic and organic chemcials in groundwater, monitoring and remediation. this is a well written text presenting the fundamentals but is not an exhaustive summary. I would definitely recommend this text.

Contaminant Hydrogeology,
This review is from: Contaminant Hydrogeology (Hardcover)
good reference book. covers the basics of contaminants. has a great section on industrial uses of large amount of contaminants. useful if you have an odd contaminant and may not know what industrial use it originated from. Also details a variety of drilling methods and possible applications. Not a book you read over the weekend to relax..

This is a great introductory book on transport of contaminants in groundwater. Maybe a bit outdated but still a great piece of work.

If all you need is a reference or a solution for a known problem related to contaminent hydrogelology, you can buy this book (although price seems a bit high for the value). If you are looking for a good textbook to help you learn and understand hydrogeology - look somewhere else.

Great condition. Small dent however, hardly noticeable. Other than that is like new.
