EatBetter helps your dog eat more slowly, minimizing many of the health issues associated with fast-paced eating including indigestion, vomiting and bloating. The wishbone center of the bowl creates an obstacle that prevents gulping or vacuuming behaviors. The bowl's innovative design encourages dogs to take smaller mouthfuls and chew more.
To help promote healthier eating habits, the EatBetter bowl incorporates a raised wishbone-shaped partition that provides easy access to food, but prevents dogs from gulping their meal too quickly. The bowl's innovative design encourages dogs to eat slower, take smaller mouthfuls, chew more, and avoid overeating.
Along with the DrinkBetter bowl, the EatBetter bowl encourages dogs to adopt a slower, healthier pace at mealtimes.
Functional and attractive, the EatBetter is constructed of high-quality, chew-resistant, food-grade plastic (free of Bisphenol-A) for years of trouble-free use. It's ergonomically designed with rounded edges so that it does not cause any discomfort during feeding, and the EatBetter has a three-point non-slip pad to prevent the bowl from moving when your dog eats. Dishwasher safe.

The EatBetter bowl comes in three sizes:
Many dogs have an unhealthy habit of eating too fast. They love to lap up all the food in a swift, sweeping motion and gobble down or "inhale" their food like a vacuum cleaner. By doing this, they end up swallowing their food without much chewing, thus leading to indigestion.
The wishbone design in the centre of the bowl has three peaks and connecting ridges, which serve as an obstruction that prevents your dog from gulping or sweeping up the food.
Supervise your dog's use of the EatBetter bowl until you are confident that your dog is comfortable using it.
After each use, rinse the bowl thoroughly with water and a mild soap solution, if necessary. Occasionally, give it a good scrub with a soft bristle brush, or wash in the top rack of your dishwasher.
If your dog has problems switching over from his existing bowl, try adding bits of his favorite treats into the food to encourage him to eat from the new bowl. Once your dog is used to eating from his new bowl, you can resume his normal diet and leave the treats out gradually.

Had gottent this dish a while back for my little terrier who likes to snarf her food. Got this one for my lab to slow her eating down a little. Works pretty well for her. Makes her take smaller bites and chew more than eating out of her regular bowl. I really like the fact that the bowls are made of food quality plastic and you can put them in the dishwasher. Great product!

Poor construction, slides all over the floor,

I bought this bowl to counter the problems I have with the "Brake Fast" brand, of similar design. The Contech stated it had no slip functionality -- that is does not slide on the tile floor while your dog eats from it. Well, mine showed up with 2 of the rubber feet missing and it slides all of the place. It also quite small. Suggest that until Contech and or the other leading "slow down and eat" bowl makers get a clue that these things slide all of the floor -- and do something about it (like put a real rubber no slip ring around the entire bowl bottom perimeter), that you will need to modify the bowl not to slide around.

Didn't slow my dog down enough,
By CAL "NY34534" (NY) - See all my reviews

Even after using this dish, my dog still had trouble from eating too fast. I consulted my vet and he suggested I use a dish with a stand that raises the dish off the floor and feed canned food or home-prepared food instead of kibble. I tried that instead of this dish and my dog hasn't had any more problems with eating too fast.
