Our problem was a pesky neighborhood cat visiting our patio and leaving his "marks". He was upsetting my 2 housecats. The scarecrow scared off the cat. I have found I have to use it periodically to keep him away. That's ok, I would rather do this than catch someone's pet and have it hauled away.

I have tried to get rid of opposums now for three years! I have used stuff you put on the ground, things that are supposed to emit a loud noise only opposums can hear......all to no avail. This product really works! they always come to eat any of my oranges that may fall from my trees. The first night they came and it went on and sprayed them. (opposums hate water!) and the sound with
the combination of water---they have never been back!! I LOVE IT!!! its great for any animal including cats!

still testing it on its first few days.
really wish there was a timer or some kind of data that could tell when it went off and such.
Although you can lower or raise the water pressure, and lower the sensitivity, there is no way to lower the range of the motion detector.
I need it in high for the small birds that come for my seedlings, but it will go off when a car or pedestrian passes by....from very far away.
This was causing way too much water for seeds and seedlings..so i had to lower sensitivity...but I think it no longer sees the birds anymore....
so, is it useful? Well, if you are in an urban setting, maybe not...unless you live in a desert and lots of water might help the plants.
It is made cheaply and basically you pay for the sensor and the build of the unit.

Could never understand why they do not add motion sensors to bird decoys (like owls) and make them say 'hoot' or flap a wing. It is either drown your plants or have an owl statue....but never a good mix...

gonna try it out a bit and see.

Nice product, it's working. Keeping the blue heron from getting my fish. Great idea, no need to be on constant look out.

Only repeller that has worked for me. The only down side is you have to drain the system whenever the temperature drops below 32 degrees. Batteries will last a lot longer if turn the scarecrow off when walking around. Battery life seems to be more sensitive to repeated actuation than just monitoring for movement.

We have a well-visited birdbath in our yard. This summer two cats began stalking the birds and the birds began to stay away. As you can't keep cats out with a fence I looked to see what might be an effective deterrent and found the Scare Crow. It is easy to install and I know cats don't like water. The sprinkler did its job and within a week we were no longer seeing the cats hanging around and the birds are back! Thank you.

We had our least favorite visitor, but little damage done. What we found in the garden were very deep tracks in our strawberry bed. What I expect happened was the ScareCrow went off, which cause the deer to bolt. Wish I could have witnessed it first hand. We've had a few laughs at ourselves as well, forgetting it was set while we walked into the garden. Love it!

A very humane means of keeping cats and other critters away. It's fun to watch the squirrels interact with it. I put in multiple units. They work great!
