About the Author
William A. Barry, S.J., has a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Michigan and has taught there and at Weston Jesuit School of Theology and Boston College. Fr. Barry has also held a number of administrative posts in the New England province of the Society of Jesus. He has written or co-written 15 books on prayer and Jesuit spirituality. Robert J. Doherty, S.J., has a doctorate in Scripture from the Gregorian University and taught with Fr. Barry at Weston Jesuit School of Theology. Since 1987 he has been Professor of New Testament at Blessed John XXIII National Seminary. They reside at Campion Center, Weston, MA, where they are co-directors of the tertianship program for Jesuits preparing for final vows.
