--Paula Pomerenke, Illinois State University (both quotes)

"These authors give some of the clearest explanations, especially on how to conduct research, that I’ve seen in any professional writing text." –Linda Ginter Brown, University of Cincinnati

"It is one of the most informative and thorough books on writing (organization, structure, tone, voice, etc.) and layout that I’ve seen." –Evelyn M. Pierce, Carnegie Mellon University --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

2.0 out of 5 stars A weak business writing treatise, November 7, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Contemporary Business Report Writing (Paperback)
This book offers nothing unique or insightful about business writing. It is meant solely as an academic primer for business students. This fact is reflected in the sections on basic grammar and citation format. The book contains some useful examples of various types of reports. However, it does not contain the data used to generate those reports. Thus, the reader has no understanding of the vetting process that went into the examples. This book is too basic for serious professionals and it is likely an annoying necessity for business students. Buy the book used and sell it when you are done.
