An expanded version of "A Birthday Concert" which was nominated for a Grammy, and also titled "The Diamond Collection", this CD is one of Dame Shirley Bassey's best! Bassey has even stated herself that shes a "LIVE" performer, and this CD proves it! From the energenic opening song "S'Wonderful", to her "Hey Jude" and "I Wanna Know What Love Is, Ms. Bassey is the BEST live female performer today. It's clear to see why she was voted the best female vocalist in the last 50 years. I HIGHLY recommend this CD as well as other live performances such as the DVD "Divas Are Forever".

.... THIS IS AN EXPANDED VERSION OF HER 60TH BIRTHDAY CONCERT - THE WHOLE CONCERT, NOT JUST THE HIGHLIGHTS AS ISSUED BY ARTFUL IN THE UK AND DRG IN THE STATES. BUY IT - YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Unfortunatly, when I ordered this CD, there was nothing indicating in the description that this was a live perfomance CD. I based my choice on the selection of songs and was a bit surprised when I found out it was live. There is nothing more annoying than to hear a singer out of breath, interacting with the audience and having to listen to the audience sing along. If you don't like live performance CD's, stay away from this one.
