It's a GREAT resource!!!!,

As a bass player and composer, I have used this book several times to get accurate string bass technique names, notations and methods. The book is clearly written overall and contains several short excerpts and references to modern solo bass literature. Anyone interested in expanding their double bass playing techniques, or writing music featuring the bass will be happy with this book.
