I love the look of these chairs. I like the height as well. They were pretty easy to assemble (for a chick.. not sure about the guys)
My only complaint on the chairs is the finish. Every greasy-child-hand smudge is apparent. They have a glossy/satin like finish and every spec of food or lint can be seen across the room. So, if you are like me and don't get into scrubbing kitchen stools after every meal.. then make your husband.. because they are still worth the value. :D

They are the perfect height for my high top table. They were easy to assemble, are sturdy and look great. We use these with a high top table for wine/appetizers, so I havnen't had any issues with smudges. Since they are made from wood, they will scratch, but not very easiy. The black paint/coating makes them very functional. When I bought them, I thought they would be a temporary solution for the room, but they have held up and look great - I've had them for over three years with no plans on replacing them. Great value for the price!

These are not superb quality chairs - not surprising, given the price tag - but they function perfectly fine as my breakfast bar chairs. Sturdy, easy to clean. They have a slight sheen to the finish, but unlike a previous reviewer, fingerprints are not visible on mine.
