This review is from: Contemporary Hypnosis Research (Hardcover)
The book is not a fun read, dealing with research in a very technical and statistical way. Just the same, it meets the intent, providing a balanced and thorough profile of what is going on. There is something here for any interested person."An Ego-Psychological Theory of Hypnosis" by Erika Fromm was probably my favorite. "Dissociation and Theories of Hypnosis" by Ernest R. Hilgard was also quite good, as was "Hypnosis, Psychopathology, and Psychological Regression" by Michael R. Nash. Best of all, the book has writings from such a variety of authors that all should find something of value.
