About the Author

Marsha Gold, Sc.D., is a senior fellow in the Washington office of Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., an employee-owned public policy research firm whose primary clients are agencies of federal and state government, foundations, and Congress. At Mathematica, Dr. Gold's research has focused on managed care and its effects on access and the healthcare system. She is particularly interested in work addressing the complexities of today's healthcare system in a timely and policy-relevant way that will be respected and will contribute to the ongoing debate nationally, in states, and in localities about the healthcare system.
