Profiles over 1,000 Native American artists who are blazing new trails in the ancient arts.
When I was eleven years old, I wrote my first published piece: an essay on the Cuban Missile Crisis. That was all I needed--one byline, and I was hooked. A writer for life! Since then, my pen/computer has spewed forth a great number of written works ranging from newspaper articles to novels, poetry to children's books, memoirs to fantasies.
I write under several names: Dawn Reno, Dawn E. Reno, Dawn Elaine Reno, Dawn Reno Langley, and Diana Lord. Please search for me under each of these names!
Writing is not my only love, however. I have taught and been a college administrator for many years, and nothing fills my heart more completely than to see a student find success in one of my classes (or in a class my faculty teach).
I also love travelling, and I attempt to visit a new country at least once a year. Next on my list: anywhere in Africa. Gardening fills up other hours, and whether it's a new piece of land that needs to be tilled or a hanging basket that simply needs watering, if it's green, I want to nourish it.
I try to keep a blog on goodreads dot com, or on my MySpace page (jazzydawn), or my Facebook page. Visit me there.
