Book Description

*EDITED and UPLOADED*:

She's armed with a new attitude and a kick-ass wardrobe...

By age twenty-eight, art historian Jade Fitzgerald has had a marriage from hell and an equally nasty divorce, worked hard to control her weight and her arrhythmia. The last thing she needs is another man messing with her head or shooting her heartbeat off course. That is exactly what she gets when an aloof and mysterious stranger storms into her life.

He's cynical and doesn’t take crap from anyone...

Former investigative reporter Vince Knight is on a quest to recover a priceless, ancient Mayan artifact, which he believes Jade’s mother stole. He’s skilled at gathering information while remaining emotionally detached, until he meets Jade. The voluptuous woman stirs in him a hunger he hasn’t felt in a long time and a protectiveness he can’t explain.

Until, an insane man decides to add Jade to his collection of beautiful and rare things...

Neither Vince nor Jade expects passion to flare so fast or danger to dodge their footsteps. To defeat a ruthless art collector with a twisted agenda, Jade and Vince must learn to trust each other and embrace their growing feelings.

Review

After sweating my way through SLOW BURN...the first book in The Fitzgerald Series, I did not think that anyone could compete with the fire and passion between Ashley and Ron. I was so wrong..THANK GOODNESS!! Ednah Walters has done it again. She has taken an INCREDIBLE story, filled it with passion, excitement, mystery and life lessons. Jade is on her way to repair her life after her divorce and keeping her health in check. She does not want or need anything messing up her new attitude on life. When Vince comes into her life, things turn upside down. High school is not a good memory for Jade and "Vinny" making a reappearance makes life even more complicated. You have to read this book to feel the emotions that jump out at you. Ednah Walters is an INCREDIBLE author. She sucks you into a book that keeps you wanting more. --Mindy Janicke-Mindy fangedmom (Freeport, IL, United States)

Former military investigative reporter and current author, Vince Knight is searching for a missing family Mayan artifact upon his aunt's request. To begin his search, he must unite with Professor Jade Fitzgerald because Vince believes that Jade's mother is involved in the theft of this artifact. Unwilling to believe in Vince's accusations about her mother, Jade is reluctant to assist Mr. Knight in his quest. After a couple days of consideration, Jade schedules a quick meeting with Vince so he can prove his convictions with evidentiary facts. But when he takes her up to his hotel room to show her the evidence, they run into an intruder that is pilfering through his belongings. Immediately, a fight breaks out, which will eventually have the thief getting away, but not before he steals Jade's purse and all her personal belongings that were inside it, which means the thief knows where she lives. Moreover, they will come to find out that this was no ordinary thief but a dangerous adversary looking for the priceless artifact and/or its whereabouts. The thief targeted Vince intentionally because he knows Vince is looking for the it. It will be from this moment on that Vince and Jade will form an alliance to resolve the missing piece. And on the way, they will connect with each other for one of the most erogenous relationships that bind two people together...an extremely sensual partnership. This narrative has so much suspenseful drama and carnal romance that you will not want to put this book down. Couple that with two of the most robust, resilient, charismatic characters, along with the Fitzgerald family dynamics, and you have one fantastic read! Truly a journey well-worth adventuring into...spellbinding! Highly Recommend! --Bonnie (Huntington Beach)

Mine Until Dawn is filled with great characters. They will not only leaving you panting but also have you wanting to jump into the book to help them out. This book has it all Suspense, action, adventure and sex scenes that will leave you panting for more. Mine Until Dawn is a suspenseful romance filled with twists and turns, it is a roller coaster ride that will keep you holding on until the very end. The story line is is well paced, there are no sudden breaks in the story just chapters that move along smoothly. The characters are so full of passion. But the passion between the characters does not take away from the storyline, but adds excitement to the story. Vince will not only drive you crazy one minute, then leave you swooning the next. Jade is kind, caring and very strong willed. She is tortured but is ready to move on with her life. The attraction between Jade and Vince will leave you breathless. Mine Until Dawn id a beautiful read. The book is well written with a great plot. There is never a dull moment in this book. I am a fan of Ednah Walters for life. This book comes highly recommended by me for readers over the age of eighteen. --Catie Vargas (Indiana)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story horrible editing September 3, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
To start off I have to say the story was pretty good but I was going crazy with all of the grammer mistakes and incorrectly used words in it...its a champagne flute not chute. Maybe some people can ignore these but I kept stopping out of sheer frustration. Wasn't impressed with the ending either it needed more closure...

4.0 out of 5 stars Story was fine, but the grammar was distracting. January 18, 2012
By LadyH95
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I liked the story and will probably read other books from this author or in this series. I kept getting tripped up on things like:
when the author described the outfit the woman was wearing and her "stalkings" - not stockings
that the hero burried himself to the "tilt" - not hilt
that someone was "wandering" about (thinking) - not wondering

5.0 out of 5 stars An Enticing Read July 16, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
The second novel in the Fitzgerald Family series, this one is just as great as the first. The reader will love how close and protective the Fitzgerald family members are of their kin. This novel isn't some cheesy love story, the main topic isn't necessarily romance. This book contains mystery, action, drama, romance, and even a little horror. Readers who prefer different types of genres will still enjoy this novel. The reader will pick up new vocabulary and facts concerning kung fu and China, specifically concerning artifacts.
Jade is a strong, female character; female readers should enjoy this facet of Jade's character, there are not many strong-willed females in stories where romance is intertwined with the plot. Jade is fun to read about, the reader will feel as if he/she knows Jade very well by the end of the novel. Vince is a bit of an enigma; he makes for a great "hero". He is handsome, aloof, and persistent. Jade and Vince really pull the story together. The secondary characters all have various personalities, from the humorous to the scary to the cheerful; the reader will have fun reading about them as well.
The novel ends well, there are no cliff-hangers or disappointing last minute adjustments. The reader will look forward to the next book in this series.

2.0 out of 5 stars Absolute drivel April 12, 2012

I rarely come across a book that I can't finish. This one was so bad that I quit halfway through. The dialogue was trite and contrived. The characters did not remain true to themselves, and I found them to be unbelievable. The author had a decent mystery going, but it was buried in an attempt to make the story an amazing romance too. It missed the mark by a long shot and was like she was trying to make two books or genres into one.

Don't waste your time. There are a lot better books available.

3.0 out of 5 stars No closure August 18, 2011
By cocomom
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Vinny has MAJOR family issues before this all happens and then his family does this huge scam that nearly gets him and EVERYONE killed. I want to know why all of them even showed up at the hospital. I want to know how she even spoke to her mother and wasn't livid after she learned things. I don't care if he was almost killed I want Honest Abe to get his for how he treated his son. The whole book was good and entertaining and the plot was thicker and better then the first book, but I didn't like the ending and she doesn't seem like the sort to let sleeping dogs lie. I would have liked her to actually stand up for herself with her mother and him with his own family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review Of Mine Until Dawn By E.B> Walters July 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I finished Mine Until Dawn in a 24 hour period. I have never finished a 400 page book before in 1 day. That speaks to the incredible writing skills that Ms Walters has. I started the book at around 11 PM Friday and I literally went to bed Saturday morning at 7 AM and got up at 11 AM and went right back to reading. I finished around 11 PM Saturday night. Jade and Vince had me transfixed to my computer reading. It was the best money and time I have ever spent with a book. Just when I think Ms. Walters can't surprise me she knocks me for a loop. I liked the fact that Jade gave as good as she got. I also enjoyed Vince's vulnerable side which he tries like hell to hide. They first meet at Jade's office were Vince ends up accusing (although in not so many words) Jade's mother of stealing something at a party she had gone to recently. Jade, like a devoted daughter, is outraged at what Vince has to say about her mother. As always, Ms. Walters throws us curve ball after curve ball to keep us on our toes. There is NEVER a dull moment in this book. I especially loved a particular scene involving Jade, her cousins Faith and Ashley (from Slow Burn), and Vince. I don't want to give it away because it is a very good scene but lets just say there is a very drunk Ashley and a very sexy Vince shedding his clothing. Jade and Vince are such a perfect couple that you start rooting for them from the very beginning. Every woman wants to prove to everyone else that they can handle anything that comes their way and every guy wants to prove that they don't need anyone or anything but with Jade and Vince you realize maybe just maybe it is just nice to be something to someone and to hell with everyone else. On a scale from 1-10 I give Mine Until Dawn 10.... Read more ›

The premise of the story is good. The plot is decent and the characters are likable. Vinnie and Jade seem meant for each with his history and past and her tenacity and health concerns. While I kept reading the book because the movement of the book, the two reasons they seem meant for each become distracting. Then I remember the timeline for this book is like a week. They meet, argue, are on the run, fall in love... A week. Ok, maybe two weeks. Then, after all is said and done, the book just ends. What happened when the father talks to the son? We don't know. And from the previews for the third book, it seems like the author just moves into that story and does not address the lingering questions from this book. I would love to give this 4 stars but with the story mishaps, the ending and, oh yeah, the editing, this is 3 or 3.5 stars at best. So that long review that tells you most of the story, not actually legit but it's all in what people like.
