Format: Paperback
This book is meant for a Tech Writing Graduate Level class, but is poorly compiled. Good information, but delivered in a ball of mess. No structure to the book

Format: Paperback
This collection brings together some of the most important thinkers in technical communication on the emerging area of information design, or how information is made usable to diverse audiences within complex web spaces.

As this is an emerging area, it is difficult to conceptualize and probably not an easy read for graduate students who are encountering this discourse for the first time. Having read the book, I see no evidence for poor editing or organization. I do see a lot of complex ideas presented in clear and understandable ways, at least to me, a professor of technical communication with some familiarity with this topic.

However: the value of this book is great when we consider the fact that it is the only collection of essays within the field of technical communication on the topic of information design.

I had to use this book as the text for a graduate class in Information Design. It is poorly edited, and several chapters are poorly organized and/or translated.
