I LOVE these pierogies. After going gluten free I mourned pierogies and the like. This delish g-free version saved me. I highly recommend!

When my doc told me no more gluten a little over 6 months ago, the only thing that bothered me was --- no more pierogi--- enter Amazon. YES, frozen pierogi delivered right to my door. They came frozen hard as a rock, surrounded by dry ice. My first cooking of these showed me that I had to be more careful with them than the pierogi I was used to. As with all perogi if they break open, they are nasty tasting mush. So if they are stuck together in the bag, do not try and separate them because they will break. I just cook a whole bag at once, put in pan with a bit of your favorite oil, cover with water, bring to boil, just when they are hot and tender, if any water is left in pan, drain all but about a tablespoon. Add a couple tablespoons of butter and let them finish by crisping them and turning gently from time to time to get them crispy all over. Add your favorite seasonings and enjoy.

I always make pierogi for our family gathering on Christmas Eve. My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac disease so my pierogis were taboo for her. I ordered these and they came very quickly and packed perfectly. Made these for her on Christmas Eve. They were excellent. Even other family members tried them and were impressed. Not as good as my homemade ones but they were pretty good and my celiac daughter didn't feel left out of our family tradition!Conte's Gluten Free Potato/cheese/onion Pierogi, 12-Ounce Bags (Pack of 3)

I've been eating homemade pierogi generally since I was born. Now that I'm gluten-free I was delighted to find a GF version. I ordered based on other reviews. My huge disappointment is that these pierogi are all dough with a postage-sized stamp of filling. Literally, as I took one apart to search for the filling. C'mon, it can't be that hard to fill a GF pierogi! Just make them a little bigger (these are very small). If anyone has a decent version please pass it along!

After going gluten free, I so missed pierogi. Conte's does a great job with this GF version. Boil for a while, then switch the pierogi to a pan with onion, butter and pepper and fry it up for a while. I personally find boiling them longer to make them very soft, and them crisping them up in the frying pan. Delicious. Almost as good as the real thing!

Pricey but good. I found that they are best when you fry them after boiling. In my opinion they taste better this way but they are also good without frying. Glad I was able to find these. Once I found out I had Celiac's I thought I would never be able to eat them again!. Highly recommended.

Several members in my family need to eat gluten free products. We usually have pierogi at our holiday get togethers and some of my family could not enjoy this traditional dish. My family could not believe how great these tasted and thought they had a better flavor than the "gluten" type. After boiling them I added them to sauteed onions to slightly brown them.
