This was a wonderful book just full of beautiful patterns and pictures. Leisure Arts rarely disappoints in their books.

I can recommend this book to anyone who wants to add to their pattern library.

I actually bought this book (which ncluded a lot more patterns than I had anticipated) for one pattern that I had seen elsewhere - the Peppermint Swirl. I haven't made it yet, but I coonsidered returning the book despite the pattern I wanted since the rest of the styles are old-fashioned-looking. Not to knock anyone who wants those styles, they are contest-winners after all, but I was looking for more updated styles. Should have looked at the copyright date first (1998)...

I wanted to get the directions for the peppermint throw. This throw will be great for decorating for Christmas. Too bad I had to buy the whole book.

Great patterns, and very varied - covering noah, angels, woven strips of crochet, even colored spirals stitched together to make a larger pattern.
Unfortunately, some of the instructions were a little difficult to follow. When you're trying to stitch circles together to make a large flat afghan, you definitely need specific instructions on what to do where three edges meet. Some of the patterns seemed like they were just copied from the winners, and not cleaned up for beginners to be able to grasp freely.

I really like this crochet book. Lots of beautiful patterns and all have pictures of the finished products. Usually I buy a crochet book and only want to make 1 or 2 things out of them. With this one there are quite a few in there I want to make...unusual for me.
