Michael Silver (aka CFCF) is one of those rare talents to whom pop sensibility seems to be second nature. The Montreal native has been making music in his bedroom since he was 12 years old, and is about to release his sophomore LP ''Outside'' on November 5th, 2013. He has previously released two EPs ''Exercises'' and ''Music For Objects''. ''Continent'' was his debut release and was originally released in 2009. CFCF has a musical depth that constantly surprises his elders with influences ranging from Jellybean and Pete Rock to Todd Rundgren and Fleetwood Mac. This wide scope of interest in genre and pop structure and mature melodic instinct allow him to shift gears effortlessly from Italo to Disco to Balearic to Piano House and everything in between. His pop music can be sweetly melancholy or creepily disturbing, but it is always fundamentally Pop. Having first caught tastemakers' attention with his contest winning remix of Crystal Castles ''Air War,'' CFCF has gone on to produce official remixes for talents such as Sally Shapiro, The Presets, HEALTH, The Teenagers and Hearts Revolution among many others. This special LIMITED EDITION ''Continent'' Reissue will be available on December 3rd, 2013.
''(7.7) Unapologetically svelte tunes jam-packed with cues taken from body-high inducing ambient atmospherics, beatific house loopings, 70's AM Easy Cheese, and bubbly Balearic turns'' --Pitchfork
''He takes cues from many other electronic artists such as Diskjokke and Deadmau5 with energetic and attention-grabbing loops, thumping beats and bouncy piano, but he never gets stuck in these similarities.'' --Beats Per Minute
''This exercise in electro-pop perfection (there is zero filler on this one) has established Silver as one of the most promising DJ/producers working today.'' --BlackBook Magzine
