Product Description

Continental 0122108 City Ride 700 x 32 Urban Tire is fast and tough, built for the demands of the city. Cycling through the city comfortably and safely is what the leisure commuter demands. Due to its inverted tread design it has a great contact patch to the road and low rolling resistance, which means a faster ride. Additional grooves on the tread draw water away and deliver true handling and short breaking distances in wet conditions. A new Rubber Breaker strip under the tread protects from punctures. The City Ride can be fitted to all Hybrid and MTB bikes. Specs: Weight - 560 grams; Recommended PSI - 70; Maximum PSI - 80; PU - 10.

I've got 26 miles on it and so far, I'm pleased. I'm running this 700x32mm variant at the 80 psi max. It runs well on paved paths. At this point the tread that trims the center line is showing a little wear but that's to be expected. As I'm running this as a front tire for my bike, I've got to say I love the way it handles corners. It gives excellent confidence and sticks really well. The center slick I'm sure is giving me the best I can hope for using a mountain bike as crusier in terms of speed. Honeslty, there's nothing about it I feel that needs to be said against this tire. Some will complain that its a wire bead, but that's not a concern for me. All in all if you're looking for a capable preformer on paved roads this is worth serious consideration.

UPDATE 9-26-2013: An injury and a bit of laziness kept me off the roads as much as I would've preferred. However with about 130 miles on them I've got to say, so far so good. The tread is definitely showing defined wear. But it's even and not effecting the handling at all. This tire still corners very well and handles medium to high riding speeds with comfort and ease. I really don't have any thing bad to report. I'll continue to update as they age.

I use these tires on my cyclocross which I use for commuting, since I ride year around in Colorado. These are good in all temperatures in all conditions. They last forever, are excellent in cornering, very very good grip. They are a bit slower, but the grip and all weather advantages far outweight the speed sacrifice.

Pros: Durable, Excellent Grip, Good Cornering, Puncture Resistant
Cons: High Rolling Resistance
Best Uses: Commuting
