The Goodyear Engineered Products Artrac black bulk material hose is suitable for conveying a variety of abrasive materials and consists of a tube made of a conductive blend of polyurethane and PVC for flexibility, static dissipation, and resistance to abrasion; and a cover made of a nitrile, polyurethane, and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) blend for resistance to oil and abrasion. It is reinforced with a rigid high-density PVC helix for the strength necessary to maintain its full vacuum rating of 29" Hg and its maximum working pressure rating. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to +158 degrees F (-40 to +70 degrees C), and can be used with a variety of coupling options (not included). This hose is suitable for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and agricultural material-handling applications involving abrasive substances, such as sand, gravel, cement, glass, metals, plastic pellets, fertilizers, rock salts, and slurries.

S= Size (ID, OD, and length)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used.
