Once spun up they roll well, but you can feel the extra mass.

I've ridden approximately 1500 miles on these tire mainly on a urban commute. The rear tire will need replacement in about 500-1000 more miles, meanwhile the front tire shows minimal wear. I have had *zero* punctures with these tires. Traction is good. It can handle pavement well and corners with confidence. It also gets acceptable traction on hard pack and crushed rock paths.
I've run between 55 and 20 psi, and the sweet spot for me on a 45lb loaded commuting bike is about 40psi.
These tires are also incredibly heavy, at 900g measured. Once spun up they roll well, but you can feel the extra mass.

I have a 29'er, which is a mountain bike that uses road bike rims (why they needed a new term, I don't know). These tires fit my 700c rims great and cover all my basic commuting needs as well as light trail riding with the family. They have very low rolling resistance given their size and appear to be set to last a long time. I have seven bikes and a slew of tires and have riden many many miles. If I were touring again I would think about these on my touring bike!

I bought these tires to turn my 29er MTB into a touring bike.
These tires are great tires. I did almost 600 miles with only one flat. the flat was caused by a big screw like piece.
These tires roll like a dream. They are very quiet and their wide surface contact with the road make them very comfortable.
I am keeping these tires as my go to tires for touring.

I am happy with this tire purchase.. The reflective stripe adds safety to the tire. I put the 700x42mm on a 29er MTB... A little more tire width wouldnt have hurt... But for me- its 90% pavement riding. Posted a picture.

I like the tire very much. It is clearly a sturdy tire which will resist punctures and it is fairly quiet on my trainer during inclement weather so I don't need an alternate wheel for indoors. My one criticism is that I wish it came in a 50mm width which is more desirable for a hybrid tire that may end up in dirt and gravel periodically. This is a step up from my prior Continentals that I had for about 5 years and LOVED.

I found it an excellent tire. The rides are quiet and smooth. Perfect for my daily commute. A lot better than the original tires that came with my bike. These tires are not good for gravel roads though.

I bought a set of Conti Country Plus tires in 700c x 42mm for my touring bike, which I use for all-around urban and recreational riding.

These are great tires: Long-wearing, highly puncture resistant, and sure-footed under a wide variety of conditions. In 1500 miles of riding, I have yet to flat. The tread is still sharp, with very little evident wear. Can't afford a set of Schwalbe touring tires? Step right up.

I live on the Gulf Coast, where encountering patches of sand on the road shoulder is a pretty common experience. That's the reason I chose the Country Plus over the Touring Plus (which has a less aggressive tread pattern), and I'm not disappointed. The tire handles well on hard pack clay, gravel, and brick surfaces. It feels a bit heavier and is a tad louder than Continental's Contact series on pavement, but not annoyingly so.

While designed for touring and light trail use, I think the Country Plus excels as an urban tire. It's likely I'll buy a second set with reflective sidewall stripes when it's time to refresh my city bike. One tip: Sidewall pressure is marked at 65psi/4.5bar. These are maximum values, and inflating tires to this level will yield an unnecessarily harsh ride. To take advantage of the Country Plus' high-volume, wide section construction, you'll probably want to run somewhat lower pressures. This will be based on your weight, any additional load and its distribution, and riding position. Consult Frank Berto's pressure tables (there's also an Android app) and tune your bike appropriately. I generally run 56psi in the back, and 50psi up front -- maybe a bit less, if I'm running on dirt.

Recv'd both tires in great condition (by Amazon) and a few things should be noted.. first they do not fold (which is fine), expect to get two rather large packages (for a pair). Also their construction makes for seating them a bit trying. May I sugest using metal tire levers rather that plastic (I had one break on me). This just shows how solid the sidewalls are! Another note is weight - a bit heavy but NOT noticable in motion. Again this is due to teir heavy duty usage. During my trial run on these wonders I came home in an unexpected downpour. Here in Florida this rain quickly turns to what we term as "black ice" !! IE: rain mixed with oil runoff. While not having a deep tread their directional nature wisked away the mixture with ease and even during tight turns on the slick surface they kept on track and firm! The reflective sidewalls added a 'flare' to my Cannondale Hybrid and I expect a long trouble free life.
Choosing a tire is an important decission and should be based on riding style and use rather than price and looks! These tires fit well for me in BOTH catagories.
