I have these on my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon. While they are not a summer tire, they handle extremely well for an all season. I noticed little difference between these and my summer michelin's grip wise. As far as the all season aspect I have had these in every type of Ohio weather to date and they do a fantastic job. So far these tires have been on my car for approximately 45k miles and are showing enough tread life to continue for an estimated 15-25k more. I'm actually pretty shocked at the life considering how I drive (curvy country roads and not easy on the throttle). I should also note I have a set of snow tires for my vehicle and I didn't bother to put them on last year because my dws do so well in the winter. The tread indicators are nice because the lettering for dws will wear when treadlife isn't substantial enough for ideal snow/wet/dry conditions. I absolutely love these tires and without a doubt will be putting them on again when I replace. Spend the little bit extra and treat your car right. You won't be disappointed, it absolutely makes the driving difference.

Continental ExtremeContact DWS
Tire size used: 215/45ZR17
Vehicle: 2011 Honda Civic SI sedan
Location: MN
Time of Purchase: November 2014
Miles driven as of 2/22/2015: 5,000

My review will focus on comparing the DWS tire to the OEM Michelin Pilot HX MXM4s.

1. Definitely better dry road traction.
a. Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 – ¼ mile pass at Rockfalls Raceway
i. 60 ft 2.400
ii. 14.219 @ 100.57 mph
b. Continental ExtremeContact DWS – ¼ mile pass at Rockfalls Raceway
i. 60 ft 2.273
ii. 14.009 @ 100.58 mph.
2. These are actually more comfortable than the Michelins, when I hit road cracks or bumps I usually felt them on the Michelins as hard, these felt soft which was a good thing for comfort.
3. These also had better traction in corners vs the Michelins, but to be fair these are rated as Ultra High Performance All Season tires vs a Grand Touring All Season tire.
4. These are less expensive than the Michelins.
5. Better wet weather traction. I experienced the car sliding on the Michelins, so far the DWS perform well even when it’s pouring on the highways.
6. Better snow and ice traction.
a. DWS - I was able to maintain 50 mph on an unplowed highway that had at least 6 inches of snow. I never had any issues accelerating from a complete stop. When I braked, I was always confident the car would stop in time.
b. Michelins – I struggled going up my own driveway when there was more than 6 inches of snow. I always had to brake early as I was not confident the car would brake in time.
