In "La Vie Continue," Oscar-winning writer-director Moshe Mizrahi delves into life, loss and carrying on. Jeanne (Annie Girardot) and Henri (Michel Aumont) have reached the point in life where they can finally enjoy themselves. But, Henri suffers a massive heart attack and Jeanne is suddenly on her own. Her three children are able to handle their loss. Jeanne is unable to make a smooth transition, however; she needs answers. She wants to involve herself in a relationship, but fears the awkward intimacies with strangers. Most difficult of all is what she should do about the feelings she's beginning to have for Pierre (Jean-Pierre Cassel), a divorced local merchant. Perhaps for her there can be no happy ending, but come what may, she will endure.
