This was a great choice for me.....I recently saw John Mayer live, and wanted to run out and buy some of his CD's right away. The 3 discs in this package are all really great, and a more economical way to get them than buying each disc seperately.

Most of the music lovers who admire John's music probably already have each of these individual albums. But for those new fans who have come to know him via "Battle Studies" this would be an ideal way to "catch up" with his earlier (and some of his greatest) artistic expressions in a very economical way.

For those friends of yours who may not be into his music (some of mine are turned off by the tabloid press so did not even explore it), This purchase is the perfect way to introduce them to his versatility and greatness, and his growth as a singer and musician.

John is definitely not a one-note/one style wonder. I think that is frustrating for music critics, as they are always looking to "categorize artist" or want them to have a "signature sound". For me John does have a music signature of sorts, but it is not the "size of a period at the end of a sentence" in diameter, and that makes most critics comfortable. He can "autograph his body of work" any way he wishes, and it is still integrally himself.

These three studio albums certainly showcase that versatility.

I wish there could be such a combination for his "live albums"....as you get another dimension and perspective on his brilliance from that of the studio albums. For me, studio album versus live album is comparable to viewing his talents though the lens of the customary notion of a three dimensional universe (studio album) versus that of a sting theory universe that has at least 10 dimensions (live album).

Since we do not have a three-in-one package for live performance albums...this package will have to do.

Buy it for yourself if you are not familiar or buy it for friends with whom you would like to share the love :)

Surprised to find this 3-pack at such a good price. CDs arrived quickly and in good condition. Sound is great, and I'm happy!

He has great songs out & I couldnt decide which CD to buy so this was a perfect deal. All 3 CDs are terrific!

This is a great gift set to give a man or woman. Great music. Good collection.
