On 1 battery you only get roughly 3 hours of HD filming. Since I record almost 8 hours of video every time I paintball it was obvious I would need this item along with spare batteries and memory cards. Amazon has become my official vendor of choice when it comes to ordering any Contour items as the items are scarse in retail stores.

Does what I expected with no problems, but price is double what it is worth. Look for 3rd party chargers with similar functionality for much lower prices.

well, its chip china charger, nothing special about it. its designed for charging the battery, but for this amount of money it could be made of better materials and better made. sometimes when I charge battery and the charger is in my car, the battery can pop out for charger, because there is no locking mechanism ...

I have two batteries, one I charge in the camera itself and the other one I charge on this thing.

Charges pretty fast.

The cable and charging base are separate, which will allow you to use one cable to transfer your card to your laptop, tablet or whatever and charge your battery. Just do not forget either one while traveling... :-)

A nice charger, bought a chinamade charger before this one, and as you understand Contour brands are the one to go for!

I bought this charger to charge the spare/back up batteries for my contour HD camera using ac/mains power outside the camera. This is very convenient on long trips to charge the back up batteries overnight. The charge time to full charge is about 3 hours, so if you plan properly you can easily charge two or three back up batteries over night for a long days filming the next morning.

This charger does work in charging replacement or backup batteries. Good to have around to charge your battery or batteries overnite.

Very good build - Give you the flexibility to charge your extra Contour HD battery - you must have 2-3 extra on any ride

I would expect it to come with a power converter (I expect to have 110/220v) and not only USB Cable

But 110 / 220 to USB is very easy to find - so we are OK here

The battery doesn't sit in place very well, so as long as you have it plugged in and set somewhere out of the way (which never really describes any area near my computer, but maybe I'm a slob) it's fine. It really should sit in better. It gets the job done but when the manufacturer puts such little thought into design for the charger I start wondering how well designed the actual camera is.
