I don't get it,

This review is from: Flick Iphone 3G Black (Electronics)
I've had this case for about six months now and, as a few others have said, given the available alternatives, this one is above par.
I don't get the complaints about the case scratching ... isn't that the purpose of a case ... to take the scratches and abuse so the phone doesn't have to and so that you can replace it down the road with another, shiny, new case that (for a while) doesn't have scratches at a whole lot less than the cost of a new phone? This is by far the best engineered case of its kind ... far superior to the Agent18 cases. Amazon's price is almost half what I paid for my case when it was only available from Contour directly. Spend a few more dollars and purchase the anti-glare screen protector from Power Support [...]and IMHO, it's the best way to go about protecting your investment with minimal bulk.

This case is great if your looking for something really slim and will protect your iphone from minor falls and scratches. A friend of mine actually didn't even realize that I had a case on when she first picked it up.
Another reviewer is right in that it is hard to remove the case, but why would you do that? There is a flap that is easily folded if you want to dock the iPhone anyways. Somebody else also said that the sleep button cover is hard to put back one once you remove it, but I'm not sure if you're supposed to even remove that piece. I've left it on since I got the case with no problems. The only downside to this case is that it is glossy black instead of matte so the back gets very scratched after awhile. I'd actually buy another one if they made it in Matte Black. Overall it's a very good case for the iPhone 3G.

Not what I'm looking for,

I bought this case because it got very good customer reviews on Apple's website. I'm going to be returning it since it doesn't do what I want a case to do. The case covers only the back and sides of the iPhone, which I knew, and it's fairly lightweight plastic, which I also knew.
What I did not know is that it's very difficult to get the iPhone out of the case (it does *not* just slide out, at least mine didn't). It gets hung up on the opening for the volume rocker and the ring/silent switch on the left side of the iPhone. You have to wiggle it back and forth to get it out, which I found to be annoying and also seemed as if it would start to scratch the iPhone over time. I also felt that opening and closing the little flap at the bottom scraped against the iPhone more than I was comfortable with. The other thing I don't like is the tiny flexible pop-off plug that covers the sleep/wake button at the top. It's hard to get it back in after you've removed it, which I had to do in order to power the phone on or off. I also wondered about heat dispersion when the iPhone is in a case like this. The iPhone can get pretty warm with heavy use, and it seems to me this case might keep it from cooling as fast as it would uncovered. The case looks good when it's on the iPhone, it weighs very little and it is a snug fit. You almost cannot tell that there's a case on the phone at all. I don't think it would give much protection if you dropped the iPhone, but if all you want is protection for the back of your iPhone, and if you don't mind wrestling with it if you want to remove the iPhone from the case, this might be a good choice. So, I'll give it 3 stars, because it's not a bad case, it's just not right for me. For now, I'm using a leather slide-in case that gives total protection when the iPhone is in my pocket. It's not a perfect solution, but it's better for my purposes than this case. Meanwhile, I'll keep looking and hoping that new and better cases come out for the iPhone 3G.

Here I explain the ups and downs of the Contour Flick case for the iPhone 3G. I demonstrate docking the phone and show you how to take on and off the case. Also, I showcase the scratches on my Contour Flick case after just 5 weeks of ownership.

Excellent case for those looking for comfort and protection..,

I've read the reviews on here and felt compelled to write my own in defense of this case. I've had this case on my iPhone 3G for nearly a year now and can state that it is far and away the best that I've found. I've probably tried a dozen cases over that time period and most only stay on the phone for a day or so before i revert back to using the Flick. It is so slim and lightweight that you don't even realize its on the phone.
I drop my phone a lot (likely more than most) and this case has never came off once. I take the case off every few weeks and clean behind it and the back of my phone steal looks new. The case itself is succeptable to scratches (any high gloss case will be) but it isnt noticable by others unless they look closely. As far as the "silicone/soft" buttons at the top and side, I've seen others complain about them-I personally took them off and don't use them as I don't see the point. The ports are all beveled enough where it does not affect the comfort of using the buttons. All in all, I have and will continue to recommend this products to friends looking for a practical slim case that provides comfort, functionality and protection.

Nice appearance, but quick to scratch,

This case snaps on easily (unlike many others that are difficult to either install or remove)and has a nice, iPhone-like shine. However, the back scratched within hours for no apparent reason. I treat this thing like it is fine crystal so I'm really not sure how it became marred so quickly! That said, at least the phone remains unscathed.

Excelente Product,

It's really an excelent product because of it's quality (material) and because it does not turn the iPhone in a big phone...it is very thin!!!

Only case for me so far,

AESTHETICS - Very Beautiful IMO. It's GLOSSY like the iPhone, and it reveals a very visible chrome edge around the screen (while well protecting the outer edges). That chrome edge makes a big difference for me. Most cases are have no gloss, show no chrome and have no bling at all, which IMO just kills the great beauty of this device. I got the white case for my girl friend 6 months ago and she still tells me how happy she is that I got her the white flick. I've got the black case and it really has the beauty an iphone deserves.
FORM FACTOR: The thinnest case I've found. Much thinner than the silicone cases I've tried. Given that the really thin form is one of the great benefits of the iphone, this is a fairly big plus for me. FUNCTIONALITY - Easy flip bottom for quickly using with docks, and the entire case is much easier to remove than a silicone case. Also, the glossy surface is, IMO, the perfect balance between slip and non slip. Meaning (a) it's very easy to get in and out of the pocket (a real pain with a silicone case.) and (b) it's much less slippery than a naked iphone and thus less likely to be dropped. PROTECTION - No screen protector. (I saw an apple store employee try as hard as he could to scratch the screen with his key. He couldn't do it. Thus I'm not that concerned about screen protection.) While the case is rigid, it's a more compressible material than the hard flat black cases I've seen, and I believe it offers good shock protection. Yes, soft silicone cases offer more shock absorption, but Net/Net I feel the unit is well protected. For my taste it's a great winner both aesthetically and functionally

Protective Case, easy to use and looks good,
By
This review is from: Flick Iphone 3G Black (Electronics)
I have used this Flick case for about 4 weeks now. I have found it to be very protective, easy to use, and looks good too. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is I find it a little slippery. I would like it to be a little easier to hold on to, esecially when retreiving from and putting back into my belt case.
