After using this case for three months, I have to change my opinion. While the case does protect the Iphone, it also requires frequent cleaning and scratches my crystal cover that I put on . Overall, I'd say there has to be something better out there. I will keep looking .

My original review:

I wanted something to protect the Iphone and found the acrylic case to be fantastic. The clip is another story, it is awful. The slightest movement can send your beloved Iphone plummeting to the ground. Luckily the acrylic case works! When I contacted Contour Design, it turns out they redesigned the clip. Needless to say the new clip is not much better.

Also, the acrylic case will not work with another holster. Needless to say I am on the lookout for a better carrying device for the Iphone.

DO NOT by this product!!!! It DOES NOT FIT the iPhone 3GS and should not be coming up in the search results for iPhone 4. Again do not by this product. In addition to this, go to the seller's website and look at their return policy. Amazon does not get involved with the return of the item. You have to go through them. They have a stringent, non flexible return policy.

this is by far the worst product ive ever bought online... the case is past impossible to get to fit the phone... do not buy this... the holster fit a case i already had so luckily i wasnt completely out my money but that was just a stroke of luck... i do not recommend this product at all...

This phone case fits well, does not pop open when dropped (believe me, I know!), and comes with a belt-clip half-shell case. Sturdy and protective, just what I wanted!

OK so I got this case to cover my ports from my Mom like daily activities. Example: trips to the park and dropping iPhone in sand, YIKES!! Not to worry with the ports covered no problem. The reason I did not give 5 stars. This case is bulky and UGLY!! I would have liked some colors/textures to choose from given I had to give up the sleek lines. Then again I doubt anyone notices my iPhone when my two year old is pouring sand into the water fountain.

This item was too bulky on the waist. And there was no arm band which I found inconvenient.

I hesitated getting this case at first because a bunch of people had given it bad reviews, but I got it anyway.

Several reviews said it was slippery (and that your hands practically have to be dry to be able to hold it, but who's holding their phone in the shower or while they're doing dishes?). I disagree; it's not any more slippery than other cases, it just feels smooth. It has easy access to all the buttons and lets the attractive iPhone design be seen.

Some people also said it traps a lot of gunk under the cover and scratches up the phone ("because the case is slightly too big and allows movement, pushing the gunk up against the phone"), and I also disagree with that. Unless you're throwing it in the dirt, it's fine. I've gotten a speck or two of gunk under mine, but it hasn't scratched up the phone at all, partially because the iPhones are pretty tough and partly because the case is not too big.

The only thing I'd change would be to put some of the sticky rubber pads that are on the outside for grip, on the inside, too, for a bit of padding if you drop it. It seems like if you dropped it on something really hard (sidewalk, uncarpeted floor, etc) that it wouldn't be super protected because there's no give right up against the phone; it's just hard plastic.

I would recommend this product to most users.

When I first got my iPhone I spent a long time trying to find a perfect case to protect it. This was one of the cases I tried. It was probably the second best case I found. It looks pretty cool but seemed a little to bulky for me. I did drop my phone once and did protect the phone from any damage. The case just popped open at the back. Overall not a bad case if you are into the hard cases. The case I ultimately went with and still have on my phone today is the iSkin Revo.

This product is good, but the merchant I purchased it from is terrible. When I received the product it had no protective packaging, the case was just stuck in a manila bubble wrap envelope. When I attempted to put the case on my phone two of the clips on the corners snapped (probably fragile from the improper packaging during delivery) so needless to say after that it was worthless. I did not pay very much for the product so it was cheaper to just throw it away then to fight for a refund. So I recommend the product, but I do not recommend the merchant, pay a little extra to make sure that it is delivered properly.

This is a terrible case. It's too small for the iPhone 3GS plus even if it did fit, it has these unattractive yellowish rubber fittings that are supposed to fit in the sides/top of case. Complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and just go to the Apple store and spend $30 on the ISee acrylic case that is actually made for the iPhone. That's what I eventually did and I love it.
