Product Description

Perflex(tm) Gel ChArms(tm) can turn adjustable chair arms into soft and cushioned surfaces. They are made of 100% gel that will keep tis flexibility over time. This contrasts to the 20% gel/80% foam that is far more common. The gel lining creates a soft, pressure absorbent surface to rest your arms on while sitting in a chair. They have elastic covers that easily slip over pedestal or "T" chair arms between 7 inches to 11 inches in length. Set of two. Fully cleanable with mild soap and water.

These were GREAT and I LOVED them, for about a month. Then the gel started to squeeze little by little to the edges of the cover. Now 3 months after purchasing, most all the gel has worked its way (by being pushed or squeezed by my elbows) to the edges of the pad covers. This leaves little padding on top where I need it. Once the gel has been squeezed to the edges it is pretty near impossible to work it back to the top of the pad where you need it. I may try the memory foam next. Disappointed in these as I spent extra and paid a premium for the gel vs. the foam, thinking the gel would last longer. They only have a 30 day warranty and about 1 week past warranty the problem started to develop. Maybe if you don't lean too hard on them they may last. But I like to prop my chin on hand and lean on the pad with my elbow, this is hard on the pad I realize but it should be able to take it.

UPDATE***It is now 2 years since writing that review (12/13). I did replace the gel cushions with foam ones shortly after writing the original review and they have worked great. They look and feel the same now (2 years later) as they did when I first purchased them, extremely comfortable. Maybe I have particularly sharp elbows or something, but in any case the gel simply didn't last very long for me. However, I highly recommend the foam arm cushions.

My chair has 11 inch, hard rubber armrests that are very uncomfortable. I have been using cut up mouse pad wrist rests glued to my chair for some time now. They help, but with my chair armrests starting to fray, they have been cutting into my skin, so I needed a better solution.

This product just barely fits on 11 inch chairs and stays firmly in place. The material is comfortable on your skin and the gel feels pretty good. On my chair, they don't look quite as thick as the image presented, but they get the job done. They appear to be well made and I believe they will not wear out easily. My main gripe is that the gel covers the top of the armrest and not so much the sides. I could have used a little more gel coverage. They also have a bit of a chemical smell to them, but nothing serious.

Overall, a good product. Recommended.

It's hard to find a comfortable desk chair. Usually I find I have to make a concession in one area to get a feature I like in another. My current chair has the adjustable arms I wanted, but the armrests had to have been designed by some sort of deviant. For months I've suffered from sore arms because the armrests were designed with very hard edges. Finally, I received an epiphany and decided to see if anyone made any sort of cushion for office chairs and I found these! With great anticipation, I slipped them over my tortuous armrests and settled in. The difference is night and day. My chair is actually comfortable now, thanks to this gel-filled wonders! Easy to install and a delight to rest your arms on, what more could I ask?

This is the first review I've ever written for Amazon and only for something as wonderful as these arm covers would I bother to take the time. I bought an office chair about two years ago for my home office after spending hours running all over town sitting in everything I could afford. I liked everything on my chosen chair but the arms. They really hurt my elbows but I thought I couldn't have everything so I ignored them. Then the hard plastic split on one of the arms after just six months of use. On went the black duct tape. Finally after the second arm split I got fed up and started doing some research. After finding only really expensive bolt on solutions that I wasn't sure would fit on my chair or that I would even like, I began to wonder if I could fabricate something myself. These covers are just what I had in mind and I was thrilled to find them. Besides the fact that they don't require any hardware, will fit on almost any chair arm and are a complete no brainer on installation, they are just soooo comfy. I sit for hours everyday and thought the fabric would start to pill or they would slip and I would have to readjust them all day. Not at all. They are as nice a month later as they were when I pulled them out of the box. And since they're gel, they won't break down like the foam versions. Even just getting up from the chair is easier with these arms. No more aching. No more chafing. Like luxurious house slippers for your chair. I would pay double or even triple the price for these that's how much I love them.

i got these promptly and put them on my chair. my arm rest was a narrowish / long armrest, pretty much coming to a point at the rear of it. I was worried the gel pad would roll off the arm rest, but it fits very snug (partly due to the arm rest being just slightly longer than the longest they recommend for this product). I didn't get the tempurpedic-like ones because we have a tempurpedic mattress and pillows and i know they do flatten over time. i don't believe the gel will flatten over time (and it's denser than the memory foam). these are very nice, even when leaning on them with my bony elbows!
