4.0 out of 5 stars A good choice for CPAP users
This pillow is an improvement over regular pillows for CPAP users --the cutouts allow the mask & hose to remain comfortably positioned making for a better nights sleep for side sleepers like me. 2.0 out of 5 stars Initially was quite happy with it but over time I'm not so sure
It does have cutouts for your C-pap but there is too much padding at the top so you wind up sleeping further down on it than it's designed for or winding up with a crick in your neck in the morning. I don't see how it correctly supports your spine with that in mind. I wouldn't buy again but it was worth trying as my other pillow didn't work too well. I think I'll look...

This pillow is an improvement over regular pillows for CPAP users --the cutouts allow the mask & hose to remain comfortably positioned making for a better nights sleep for side sleepers like me. Be aware the pillow is quite firm which I like but doesn't necessarily appeal to everyone. This is my first non standard pillow so I can't compare to others but versus a standard bed pillow it's worth the price. I also bought the accessory kit which adds a foam insert,a pillow cover and a cover for the air hose--I'm glad I did the extra cushioning is a nice plus although at the price of the pillow I feel the pillow cover should have been included. As for the hose cover, in theory it helps prevent condensation from accumulating in the air hose -I have only had that problem once before I received the cover and not since so I cannot attest to it's effectiveness. If you have problems with condensation turn down your humidty settings remove the hose from the CPAP and hang to dry out during the day --simple but effective.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful, not world changing, February 18, 2010

The pillow is comfortable, though maybe too firm for some people's taste, though I really like it. The cutouts for your cpap mask are only on the two lower corners, it doesn't run all the way across. That makes it work for your head to be on a firm supportive surface but your mask will easily fit into the cutout if you sleep near one of the pillow edges. The pillow does fit into a normal sized pillow case. All in all, it's a bit more comfortable than a normal pillow while you're using your cpap, but it's not a world changing difference.

I think I'll look into that cloud pillow I've seen advertised.
UPDATE: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FPH1VQ/ref=oss_product I slept on the cloud contour pillow for the first time last night and it was an instant relief. The spine alignment is perfect and it doesn't bother me with my c-pap (I'm a side sleeper). I read some reviews that said it felt like sleeping on a rock but I think it's just perfect, just enough support (it does have some give to it I found pleasant) and my neck is kink free today. I'm loving the cloud pillow. It does have a chemical odor at first but it dissipates and the cover is washable. I didn't have to fight with it at all as I did with the C-pap countour pillow, I fought with that thing every time I moved. There was just too much padding at the top of it and I didn't get any neck support at all. I don't know if that was from a month's use or just the design but I suspect the latter as it's higher at the top without sufficient dip after what should be the neck support. It didn't work for me at all. It was a waste of money for me.
For $30 the contour cloud pillow was well worth it in my opinion. Instructions say it should last 2 to 3 years before you have to replace it due to compression so I figure I'll get my use out of it. I slept with buckweat hull pillows for years and liked them (though my honeybunny thought they were like sleeping on a rock ~ lol) but the contour cloud is truly my favorite pillow that I've ever had hands down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly comfortable, December 16, 2010
This review is from: Contour CPAP Pillow (Kitchen)
I've slept with this pillow now for only 4 nights and I love it. It's perfect if you're a side or stomach sleeper and a regular pillow gets in the way of your mask. I thought it would be too hard since I'm used to a nice soft down pillow but surprisingly, it turns out to be really comfortable. I put another pillow under it to raise it up higher since that's what I'm used to. If your mask moves or leaks when it runs into your pillow, this may be the answer for you.

I find that the indentation in the pillow should be larger & it could use a little more neck support @ the base.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just needs a little more support for your neck, January 30, 2012

The pillow works best when sleeping on my back but I am a side sleeper and always wind up putting my hand under the pillow to increase the support at my neck. It does help with keeping the mask on instead of knocking it sideways though.

5.0 out of 5 stars CPAP pillow, December 9, 2011

I have used the CPAP pillow for a couple of weeks now. I have used it daily. It does what it advertises, it lets you sleep on your side and your full face mask does not slide around. I use it to sleep on my back and have not had any problems. I would recommend it to someone who likes to sleep on their side, part or all of the time. If you sleep on your back, any old pillow will do. I would recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for me., May 18, 2011
This review is from: Contour CPAP Pillow (Kitchen)
I received mine in the mail yesterday. Despite the reviews of it being too thin for proper support or too thick at the top I went to the manufacturer's site and selected the medium model.

Having read some of the negative comments prepared me for creative solutions.

About the pillow being too thin, I put another older pillow underneath, it was at a perfect height and allowed me to put my arm underneath; bonus since I sleep on my side and stomach.

About the top being too thick, I found that it rolled chin downward and almost forced my face to the point where the mask fit exactly in the cutout. It did it's job. I didn't spend the night with the mask shifting and breaking it's seal.

Thank you Contour, for a good nights sleep.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not work for me, August 9, 2011

This review is from: Contour CPAP Pillow (Kitchen)
I thought this pillow looked as if it would work for me. It appeared to have the space needed to keep the CPAP mask from bothering me so much. However, when I was sleeping, I was turning my face down into the place provided for the mask thereby creating leaks all around the mask and waking me up. I will say it was the most comfortable foam type pillow I have ever. Very comfortable when not using a CPAP machine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Effective but Uncomfortable, May 3, 2012
This review is from: Contour CPAP Pillow (Kitchen)
Plus: The cutouts do actually keep my mask from getting pushed off of my face throughout the night, a first!
Minus: It is very, very firm (hard) and for me also very uncomfortable with little neck support.

Only buy this if your mask will not stay on with any other pillow.
