5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality, great value
I love this stroller. It is so maneuverable and will last my baby forever. This model comes with a car seat frame so that you can make your own "travel system," as well as a regular seat that can reverse from facing the parent to facing outward, and lasts to 50 lbs, so you can use this for years. I can't imagine why you'd spend the money on those bulky plastic travel...

3.0 out of 5 stars disappointing design flaw, March 5, 2010

I just received my Contours Options 3 Wheeler Stroller, so I have not used it much. Assembly went ok, I had a hard time inserting some of the screws and got the brake assembly on the wrong way the first time due to poorly illustrated instructions, but that was easy to fix.

Overall the stroller seems good. It's sturdy, and has several promising features. The push-bar is very tall, so my husband won't feel hunched over. The canopy can be height-adjusted for better sun control. The foot rest can be raised or lowered for increased comfort. The basket is large. It steers easily, and though heavy, is easy to push. The harness system is easy to use. The brake seems strong, and is easy to use.

However. The key feature that prompted me to buy this stroller was the promised reversible seat. My baby is still young, but has outgrown his infant carrier, and I want to be able to push him around [when I'm not "wearing" him] rear-facing so that he can still see me. The seat IS reversible, and is fairly easy to do: push the buttons on either side of the seat, lift it off the posts, turn it around, reinstall it on the posts, and slide it down until the buttons click into place. In the rear-facing position the foot rest interferes slightly with the basket if it is in the "legs dangling" position. But the biggest problem with the reversible seat is that the stroller cannot be collapsed when the seat is rear-facing. Yup, you read that right. If you plan to use this stroller as a rear-facing stroller, be prepared to either turn the seat around every time you want to collapse it [for example, every time you want to put it in the trunk of your car], or to store the seat separately. In my opinion this is a huge design flaw.

Other negatives to consider:
The rear wheels are WIDE. I have a hard time negotiating in some stores with my carseat frame stroller. I'm worried about how these huge wide-spaced rear wheels are going to handle Target.
Even collapsed this stroller is long. I imagine it won't fit in all car trunks.
The seat does not truly recline. Baby's body is not going to straighten out. Instead the entire seat tilts back, maintaining the 90 degree bend at the hips. As I mentioned above, the foot rest can be straightened out to allow the legs to be straight rather than dangling at the knees, but there is no way for baby to be truly lying flat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality, great value, February 26, 2010

I love this stroller. It is so maneuverable and will last my baby forever. This model comes with a car seat frame so that you can make your own "travel system," as well as a regular seat that can reverse from facing the parent to facing outward, and lasts to 50 lbs, so you can use this for years. I can't imagine why you'd spend the money on those bulky plastic travel systems. The car seat holder and regular seat just snap in and out, and it's very easy to change from one to the other and to reverse the direction of the seat.

I was looking for a stroller mostly for outdoor use and exercise, and this is an all-terrain stroller that fits the bill. While it's not specifically marketed as a jogging stroller, you can lock the front wheel and I imagine it would do great. With the front wheel swiveling, though, you can turn this stroller on a dime, and can steer it with one finger. Easy and fun to steer this. It's very stable and is definitely all-terrain. It's winter now, but this stroller has done great on frozen snow ruts and has easily cruised along when I've gone up onto grass on one wheel and sidewalk on the other. Also, the brake system is extremely secure and I feel confident that the stroller isn't going to roll off on me. Can't wait to take this out this summer.

In my opinion, this stroller works great for indoor shopping as well. Like I said, it's extremely maneuverable. It is a bit wider than 4-wheel strollers, but I don't think that narrow aisles are a problem most places where you'd shop with this. I also think it folds down to a reasonable size (and very easily) and isn't too heavy. If you had a compact car, this might not fit comfortably into your trunk if you planned to take this stroller in your car, though. Not an issue for me and probably won't be an issue for most people.

The stroller has 2 cup holders for parents and a tray big enough to stash your phone, keys, wallet, whatever. The basket underneath is big enough for me - it's easier to access from the front of the stroller than from the "driver" side, if that's a concern. There's a sippy cup holder for baby with the the seat.

If you're interested in the car seat holder, it is a frame in which the seat sits, with a seat belt attached to the frame that runs over the seat to secure it to the stroller. You do not latch the seat onto the frame, but I've found it to be extremely secure for my little one. The car seat adapter (if you want/need it) ONLY works with the following models of car seat: Baby Trend Flex-Loc, Baby Trend Latch-Loc, Chicco Key Fit, Cosco Designer 22, Cosco First Ride DX, Evenflo Discovery, Evenflo Embrace, Graco Safe Seat, Graco Snug Ride, Graco Snug Ride 32, Maxi-Cosi Mico, Peg Perego Primo Viaggio, Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP, Safety 1st Designer 22, Safety 1st Starter Series.

Not terribly difficult to assemble. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver. The directions aren't spectacular, but there's not too much to do and I figured it out during baby's short nap, so I'd rate it easy to assemble.

Overall, I just love this stroller and look forward to getting out with baby in it. I researched a lot of strollers before settling on this one, and I'm glad I did.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not made for toddlers!, May 20, 2010

This is a GREAT stroller for infants in and around 2 feet tall but once your baby gets taller this stroller won't work. My 16 month old daughter's head rests right on top of the metal frame, which is quite uncomfortable, especially if you hit a bump, her head bangs right against the frame. She is not unusually tall, around 30" or so. If you want to get this stroller for an "older" baby BEWARE.

Other than that glaring issue, this stroller is GREAT! Rides like a dream, basket is huge, cup holders and parent tray are incredibly useful. I highly recommend this for younger babies. Just know that as soon as you baby turns 1 you're going to have to get another stroller.

4.0 out of 5 stars good buy, February 25, 2010

We bought this stroller for our 2nd child. With our first we tried many strollers and was not too pleased with any of them. I will start with the cons for this stroller
1. extra wide wheel base- Even though this stroller can turn on a dime the wheels in the back make tight squeezes difficult.
2. It's heavy. We are only using the car seat attachment right now, but it's already pretty heavy.
3. Car seat attachment. Even though we purchased one of the carseats listed that it would fit, ours does not fit exactly right. It fits good enough but we have to use the teather that came with it for added security.

Not really huge issues, especially for the price. Now for the pros
1. Very smooth. I feel like I am pushing a higher end stroller. The baby never wakes up even though I go over bumps in the ground.
2. Huge bottom basket. This stoller has ample space for all of the other baby gear that these little ones seem to need.
3. high push bar. Im not tall by any means, and its comfortable for me. My husband seems to like it as well.
The parent tray is nice to, and for the price we paid I am more than happy with this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stroller, Great Value, March 26, 2010

You'd be hard pressed to find a reverse-facing stroller any where near this price (most are $400+). If you have a baby that freaks out if mommy is out of sight like mine does, this stroller is a lifesaver. And when/if baby is ready to see more of the outside world you simply turn the seat around. But even with the seat in the reverse position the stroller is large and roomy and baby can still see plenty out the sides and around the parent. The parent bar is great, fits any drink I've had and the tray easily fits an iPhone, keys, snack, etc. and the storage basket is enormous. My baby is 9 months old and has a lot of room to grow - my 3 year old could comfortably ride in it. The only possible negative for some might be that it is pretty heavy and quite large. I however, like that its big and sturdy, makes it a breeze pushing it on sidewalks, grass, gravel, etc. It turns great and folds down easily and relatively small.

3.0 out of 5 stars I love the stroller, but the seat is short, September 2, 2010
This review is from: Contours Options 3 Wheeler Stroller II, Cinnamon (Baby Product)
This is a great stroller. It folds easily. Isn't too bulky. When folded with the seat facing away from the parent, it is about the size of our travel system folded. Very easy to push. My husband is 6'2" and the handle bar was perfect for him. My son hates strollers but when we put him in this one he was happy facing us. He is 9 1/2 months old and his head is at the top edge of the seat! He is in the 75 % for height. I just wish we would have purchased this when our son was a newborn because I know we would have got a lot of use out of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Deal!, March 18, 2011

This review is from: Contours Options 3 Wheeler Stroller II, Cinnamon (Baby Product)
My husband and I are first time parents and debated on what we really wanted in a stroller. We are people that really like quality and most of the time see that it's better to spend more money to get something of better quality. However, we decided that we would save a couple hundred dollars and try out this stroller... I think it was a great choice. Our baby just turned 3 months old and this stroller has already seen several miles. It is smooth to operate, turns great, and very comfortable. We liked that it came with the car seat attachment- however... she was fine to sit in the seat (layed back) at about 6 weeks. The basket underneath is large and it folds very easily. We are very glad we saved the extra money and purchased this item...

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent stroller, But!, June 13, 2010
This review is from: Contours Options 3 Wheeler Stroller II, Cinnamon (Baby Product)
Overall, the stroller is very good; it is very smooth, sturdy, well built. Our 7-month old has no issues sitting in it all day long. Assembly was easy, everything fit snugly with no problems.

Pros
- Excellent quality materials for the price
- Very smooth
- Turns into a jogger with the flip of a small switch on the front wheel
- Very well built; we tried strollers that cost twice as much that did not have the same build qualtiy
- Very sturdy
- Due to it's size, it's basket is huge, making it easy to put a lot of stuff into it

Cons
- Stroller width and the large rear wheels make it difficult to fit the stroller in smaller cars; we have an 04 Jetta and it takes up almost the whole trunk.
- Again the stroller's width poses some difficulties in navigating the stroller, especially in dense cities which usually have smaller shops.

To sum up, the only reason we did not give the stroller 5 stars is because of it's size; it basically swallows the whole trunk in our car.

If you have a bigger car and live in the suburbs; this is a bargain stroller. Get it.

If you live in the city or have a smaller car, consider a smaller stroller or one with with smaller wheels.

3.0 out of 5 stars Contours Option 3, June 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Contours Options 3 Wheeler Stroller II, Cinnamon (Baby Product)
This stroller is priced appropriately. Decent quality. My wife wanted a $500 stroller. She does not like this stroller. Our son (11 months) really likes it which made it easier for her to accept. I am happy with the features and the price.

I was under the impression that this stroller laid flat. It does not. It reclines but does not lay completely flat. I also read a review regarding the inability to take the seat out for cleaning. This is true. It is riveted to the frame. My child makes epic messes. Cleaning this stroller will be an issue for me in the very near future. Knowing this I can be positive that my wife will purposely allow our son to completely destroy this stroller just so I will be forced to buy the other more "cleanable" stroller.

This stroller is semi solid. The wheels do not wobble at all but the seat does. It locks but not rock solid.

So overall I got what I paid for. I will not feel bad about beating this thing up...obviously not with my kid in it, unless he is acting up. Kidding.

My number one complaint is that it only comes in lame colors! The only strollers with cool colors cost a grip! (grip = $) Do cool colors cost more to produce or something? Maybe imagination is at a premium with stroller companies these days.

To wrap this up, if you can get a better stroller then do it. If you do not see the value in a $500 stroller get this one...you will start to see the value soon enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stroller. Great Price, September 16, 2010
This review is from: Contours Options 3 Wheeler Stroller II, Cinnamon (Baby Product)
I have used this almost everyday for the last year and a half now and I love it. I walk, run and jog and it's great. We my baby was little it was great o be able to turn her around so she could see me. I also used the carseat attachment with my Chicco Keyfit 30 and had no issues. It has over 200 miles on it and it runs like new. I have used a Bob and a Ted and Phil jogging stroller in the past and I can honestly say this is JUST as good. The price is what I was sold on. When I have another, we are getting the double next.
