Disappointing,

I'm afraid I found this book boring. None of the characters particularly gained my sympathy, and the plot, such as it was, was thin. Valentine's motivations seemed to change with each page: one moment he thought Phoebe was a fortune-hunter (with no evidence at all, so that was scarcely credible) and then the next he was dancing around her trying not to offend her!The 'will-they-won't-they' was much more of a 'what-the-hell's-stopping-them' and 'do-we-care-anyway'! Sorry - not for me. |
