Klinik is minimalist synth music at its best. It would be a misnomer to simply call it industrial music since it sounds more like a mix between kraftwerk, Jarré and Einsturzende Neubaten. The music is hypnotic with its repetative nature. The vocals are mysterious and the lyrics are almost impossible to hear as if he (Marc Verhagen) was speaking in code or some long forgotten language. The book-let looks quite odd and has a strong sense of modern art done for more confusion value and can be said to be art for arts sake. The photographs are so odd that one wonders what was the inspiration for such art. This is a very interesting and thought worthy release from the master of minimalist synth music.
