Integrity is probably my favorite hardcore band of all time. I have almost all of their cd's.. ..except THIS one, which leads me to my point. The product description states "This release is a documentation of Integrity's early recordings from 1989-1991" Yes it is. We get it. We've had it. These songs have been released 5 or 6 times already. Integrity is the only hardcore band I know that has FIVE discs that contain overlapping songs from other releases. Is the music good ? Hell yes, it is essential. But it's getting too repetitive. Here are the other Integ albums that have the same songs in some variation:
Those Who Fear Tomorrow Den Of Iniquity (SIMILAR to Those Who Fear...) HookedLungStolenBreathCnt (combines the 2 above) Taste Of Every Sin (another disc with the songs March Of The Damned and Kingdom Of Heaven) Final Taste Of Every Sin (more dups than Taste Of Every Sin) Palm Sunday (live tracks so it's okay right ?) Sliver In The Hands Of Time (this is a combo of Those Who Fear.. + Taste Of Every Sin - pointless !) Those Who Fear Tomorrow re-release (speaks for itself. WHY re-issue this one ?) Apparently, Dwid has only authorized certain releases. Nonetheless, In Contrast Of Tomorrow was a pointless release since it contains rehashed material that we've already seen in other forms. I can't wait for The Blackest Curse to come out. - Jay in Texas

The godfathers of metallic hardcore,
By William R Kelsey II (Upstate NY) - See all my reviews

This is the band that brought the metal into hardcore. "Those who fear tomorrow" was way ahead of it's time, released at a time when hardcore was more punk-influenced. I believe it's much better than their later releases, with none of the "holy terror" stuff that Dwid (the singer) is into now. Anyone into modern metallic hardcore should pick this up to find their roots.

Hardcore history,
By Citizen Prometheus (Germany) - See all my reviews
This review is from: In Contrast of Tomorrow (Audio CD)
If I had to name my favourite hardcore band of all times, it would probably be Integrity. Their music has been most inspiring and enhancing company all the way since the band came into existence in 1989. And still, it is their early releases, especially the "Those who fear tomorrow" - album, which release the energy that has made the soundtrack of forming phases of my life. The energy, the anger and the brutality conveyed is not only unique in this genre, it is furthermore authentic when compared to all the clones of the current generation. Never before have hardcore and Metal merged into such a real and tough symbiosis. Therefore "In Contrast of Tomorrow" which contains both the "Those Who Fear Tomorrow" and the "Den of Inquity" - albums comes as an excellent call to arms to remind of precious past orthodoxies.
