Review
This book is not a sugar coated view of America. It takes us from soup kitchens, drug rehab. ctrs. to magnificent residences of the well off. Homeless people sleeping in concrete stairways to luxury yachts. Buildings falling down in their own ruins to gleaming, sprawling skyscrapers. This book shows the widest possible cultural gaps in America. --A. Roseicki
I'm an American who has reaveled abroad. The photographer makes his point in that when you experience other cultures, it really makes you aware of your own culture. --Linda Larick
Looking at this book, I can see the point that he's making. If a mythical Swiss or Finnish couple just decided to make a random driving and walking tour of the U.S. These are the photographs they'd probably take. I never knew there was an entire shop solely devoted to the sale of condoms. Really!!! --T.C. Smith
