It's unbelievable to find so much wisdom presented so well in such a short book. Michael Youssef doesn't mince any words while sharing what he has learned from Elijah, Esther and from his own experience as well. If you sometimes feel like your life is a mess, and who doesn't, then you will find not just consoling words, but a real answer.

This book, like all of Michael Youssef's books, is packed with spiritual dynamite that will set your heart afire for Christ. Youssef writes like he preaches, so if you enjoy listening to him preach, you will definitely enjoy this book. In it, Youssef uses his own amazing story and the fascinating story of Elijah to remind his readers that God is indeed in control, even when we are unable to see this truth. The book is insightful and very practical and is a must for those who struggle with depression and disappointment in their Christian walk.

Few preachers have the wisdom that the Holy Spirit has given Youssef, so I would enthusiastically recommend this book. I received the book yesterday and read almost the entire book in one sitting! I would highly recommend this book, along with Youssef's other books.

This book is life changing! If you want to put down the shovel and stop digging yourself into a deeper hole - this book is a great tool. A must read for anyone in a self defeating cycle.

To take my title, this book is a must for anyone like me who is full of faith one minute then like a plate of jelly the next - especially when life gives you an almighty kick in the pants!

Dr Youssef draws on his own experiences in life in an honest and very easy to read way - always keeping the reader's attention and pointing us to our God's Sovereignty in the 'All things' of life.

In my own situation I found this book very comforting and it has given me a new hope for the future, knowing my God (and yours) is truly in control and also knowing that not one thing happens in our lives that He doesn't allow or permit. Be Blessed.

This book, by Michael Youssef, is impactive and encouraging; well written, in an enjoyable, easy-to-read style and served to reaffirm from biblical accounts, as well as his own personal experience, that God never leaves us, even when life becomes messy.
If your heart is bent towards the Lord and you are truly seeking Him, you will find Him in every aspect of your life. The instruction and promise Jesus gave in Matthew 7:7-11 is, "ask, seek and knock".
We must ask the question, "what is God's purpose for me through this or that?" And then proceed to ask Him in prayer, seek Him in His Word, continuing in prayer, and knock, or persist in prayer, to receive answers and direction. Sometimes the delay in answers to our prayers is a time of spiritual preparation and growth. But be assured, you will receive answers in God's timing. In our society of immediate gratification, it's the waiting that is most painful. I can completely sympathize because I am a "wanted it yesterday" type, but God is teaching me patience. In the process of slowing down, being forced to wait gives us opportunity to watch with anticipation for God's answer. In the watching we get to see Him work in our lives in a way we may have missed had we not been "waiting".

If you are in a Spiritual funk of are going through a very rough time this is the perfect book. Michael Youseff is a great writer and preacher and he really knows how to speak to the heart. God has bless him with a gift and the Holy Spirit is working in him in wonderous ways. You will not be disapointed in this book.
