This boat is so cool! I just bought this boat about 2 weeks ago and it has been so much fun since. First thing you need to know about this boat: it is MASSIVE! The box that it was shipped in was huge! So after charging the battery for 5 hours(standard r/c boat procedure), I took the boat to my neighborhood pool after hours. This boat flew across the water. Plus, it's extremely durable! How do I know? I rammed it full speed into the wall and it came out barely sratched! One thing you might want to know though: the battery on this boat does not last long at all. You get full speed for aboout 1-2 minutes, then it starts to slow down. I just bought the "7.2V Tenergy 3800mAh Flat NiMH High Power (38A Drain Rate) Battery Pack with Tamiya connector for RC Cars and Sumo Robots" for the boat, so if you want the boat to run longer, buy this battery. Overall, this boat is fast, awesome looking, and just fun to have and drive.

The boat is fun for about 30 seconds, then the battery become so flat that the boat will only troll around to get back to you. I haven't purchased an upgraded battery yet to see if it improves, but I suspect it will.

...I'm not sure what the deal is on this boat I purchased as a Christmas gift. I must admit that there is an exciting 'WOW' factor one experiences upon seeing the product come out of the box...happy grins galore.
...However...after the long-waiting battery charging process is complete, and then its finally time to put in the water, you get about 30-45 seconds of thrilling performance, and then that's it...it bogs down to a mere crawl puttering in the water! What's up with that?
...I mean seriously, there's a 30 second rooster-tail (cool right?), then you have to hope that there's enough juice to get the toy back to shore...what a bummer.
...I can only guess, at this point, that the two 380 motors must quickly drain the power from the battery pack simply waaaaaay too fast!
...Maybe there ought to be two battery packs, that way, each motor would have its own power source...and then, maybe, you'd get at least 10 minutes of some fun out of this thi

We run this boat in a private pond. It performs quite well considering the low purchase price for this RTR R/C electric powered twin prop speed boat.

I gave this to my grandson for Christmas. He ran it successfully on the pond (using the two battery packs plus recharger I gave him) for 15 minutes before one motor went out in smoke. The remaining motor brought the boat back to land slowly.
Now, I need to replace the boat and need directions to do so.
Also, the vendor changed the price of the boat 2 days after I first saw it on Amazon. I wrote him an email and he claimed the wholesale price went up $20 in two days. This made me very annoyed but this was my grandson's Christmas request so I continued to order it.

Now what can I do to replace the boat????????

THE BOAT RUNS GOOD. I DID ORDER THE RED ONE NOT THE BLUE ONE. MY SON WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE WRONG COLOR, BUT, HE JUST WANTED A BOAT TO PLAY WITH.
