I work in Law enforcement. This mini alarm system is by far faster at notifying a number than the alarm companies. The alarm companies call your home before calling law enforcement. this system calls you within 10 seconds of the alarm being activated. The only down-side is it does not call law enforcement. But according to where you live it may be quicker for you to respond before law enforcement does. and alarms are not at the top as far as being a prority for police.

I've had the Control MiniAlarm Plus for almost 2 years now. I love that it gives you 30 seconds to leave your home but only 4 seconds to turn it off upon entering. I love that it dials the phone number of your choice so quickly. The only drawback I've found with it is the fact that the dialer is connected to the motion sensor via a thin, fragile wire that can't be reconnected if pulled out. Depending on where you need to place the motion sensor, and where there is a phone line to connect the dialer, you may have to run the wire in areas that are traffic heavy (making the wire sensitive to being tripped on and pulled out). Sadly, I speak from experience, and now have to purchase a new system.

If both units worked together wirelessly, even if I had to pay more, this product would be outstanding. Other than the sensitive wire, I highly recommend this little alarm.

I purchased this alarm so I could have my windows and door wall open while I sleep in another part of my home to give me security of not waking up and having someone inside my home. It works great, but you only have a few seconds to reset it. Resetting is a bit difficult at first, but not impossible as a negative comment said. You just have to remove the 9 volt battery and phone cord for a moment and replace it. I liked it so much I bought a second one. It is very easy to program and/or change the number dialed out.

Bought this product after reading the reviews. Got the items on time and installed it right away. No problem as easy as 123. We left the house by 6pm with nobody but the activated minialarm plus. after 30 minutes, the alarm contacted my cellphone number as per programmed. so I called back my house number/system (per user manual) to acknowledge that I got the alarm and turn off the auto contact, but Its a failure. every 15 minutes minialarm will call my cellphone. finally we got home at around 9pm, worrying that somebody could have entered the house. fortunately, nothing was missing. I tried to reconfigure the alarm but still it keeps on contacting that programmed number. per user manual, you can deactivate the auto dial by calling the number but i can't deactivate it. So I ended up returning the product before lossing my hair on my head.
