inexpensive insurance,

I have had a sump pump system for years and have never really worried about a sump pump failure. I had a sump pump failure last year and a close call this year. I installed this system...easy and hassle-free. About week after I installed the alarm, I got a call from the alarm. Yes my sump pump float had stuck and water had risen to the sensor. The alarm works as advertised and it has already save me from a big mess. The WaterAlarm Plus is very inexpensive insurance. It is peace of mind for a sump pump owner.

I would reccomend to any one with a sump pump. Just put about 6 to 8 inches from the top and if the water hits the sensor it will call you on any phne you set-up. I know it works because I just had a power outage and it called my cell phone and I was able to save from mopping my basement!!

I am buying one for myself because my cool brother inlaw Paul could not stop talking about how it saved him from flooding his whole basement when his sump pump stopped working. Paul always has the best advice!

Purchased this after a sump pump failure flooded the basement. The product works well and was pretty easy to set up. The only problem that I had was false alarms. I made a couple trips home from work after receiving calls on my cellphone from the device, only to find that the sensor had condensation on it, causing the alarm to trip. After some fiddling around with it, I eventually separated the two halves of the sensor wire, and put a glob of solder on them, then tie-wrapped each half so that it was not close to the other. I then got reliable alerts from the device, and it was close enough to the water that I would have time to deal with a failed pump before the basement was flooded. Overall, a good, simple product that does what it's supposed to (with some minor modifications :-)) |
