There is a lot to take in with this piece of work, especially if you are unfamiliar with some of the subject matter. If you do not know about Bohemian Grove, the Pineal Gland, and SOPA, it's worth it to go do your research. The cover art of the album also deals with the Tree of Life.

The opening track basically shows you what the rest of the album will sound like. There's a couple songs with Kendrick Lamar and he kills his verses as usual. Of course the rest of the Black Hippy crew is on there as well, all of them on a song titled 'Black Lip Bastard remix' which is one of my favorites off the album. There's also a song dedicated to the late Alori Joh (Who sang on Kendrick's song 'HiiiPoWeR'), called 'The Book of Soul' and she is featured on the project as well. Good features overall and I enjoyed a lot of the beats on there too.

Overall this is real music with a real message. There is no sugar-coating at all with Ab Soul, he says what he thinks and feels. I believe he even calls President Obama a puppet on the song 'Terrorist Threats'. As I said, this project may seem like a lot to take in, but what it represents is a whole unknown side of this world that they do not teach us in school. While the album may seem a bit dark at times with songs like "Pineal Gland" and "Terrorist Threats", it is also actually quite enlightening with songs like "Illuminate" and "Beautiful Death".

This is a good album to listen to keep my third eye open and to help free my mind. Most music these days just keeps the brain chained and locked away by conditioning us in a way that glorifies materialistic things that at the end of the day are not so important to our human nature. This album may take some time getting used to, but after a few listens it should get better each time.

Ab-Soul continues to grow as an artist. The lyrics, beats, and flows are all high quality and very creative. My favorite song off the album by far is "Pineal Gland", definitely check that one out. Also give a listen to "Terrorist Threats". The rest of Black Hippy also makes an appearance.Support real independent Hip Hop and check this album out, I highly recommend it.

Great album and refreshing to not hear an artist not rap about the same thing over and over. His eyes are open and we should pay attention.

Ab Soul and his TDE crew Black Hippy are at the forefront of a revival of REAL HIP HOP and by that I mean street poetry from the heart not A&R dictated artist who conform to a corporate model about being radio friendly and marketable. The worst thing about todays music is the message its either dumbed down nonsense over hypnotic production or some studio gangster who shoots all day and night and never reloads his guns. That not the case here this is that pure form that started the love for this music .

Now, this is what you call real music. I came across Ab soul through hearing Kendrick Lamar and honestly they're both musically different than what's on the radio. True hip hop heads will enjoy this album. Good beats, hard rhymes, soulful. Buy the album!!!
