Sunset Book convection oven cookbook, October 4, 2008
This review is from: Convection Oven Cook Book (Paperback)
This is the best convection oven cookbook, in my opinion. I bought this to replace my old copy from 1980 which had fallen apart. After recently buying a toaster convection oven, and after being extremely disappointed with the toaster oven cookbooks available now, I went back to this trusted old friend, with its delicious recipes. Just cut down the amounts so they fit the toaster oven size; the cooking times and temperatures are accurate, even now. There is a great variety of recipes that are as good now as they were 25 or more years ago. I love this book!

THE BOOK FELL APART, December 20, 2010
This review is from: Convection Oven Cook Book (Paperback)
I OPENED THE BOOK AND THE PAGES ALL FELL OUT. I WILL USE A PAPER PUNCH ON THE PAGES AND PUT THEM IN A NOTE BOOK.
THIS IS A SHAME. I NEVER EXPECTED THIS TO HAPPEN.
I KNEW IT WAS USED, BUT I DID NOT EXPECT IT TO BE ROTTED OUT.

Indispensable, September 24, 2009
This review is from: Convection Oven Cook Book (Paperback)
Head and shoulders above other convection cookbooks. I would have been lost without it after my twin convection ovens were installed.
I don't actually use many of the recipes in it as written (although I've tried some and had very good results). The great value of this book is in the "rule of thumb" advice for adapting my old recipes and the wonderful conversion tables -- I would never have figured out on my own that a cake-mix cake, normally baked, say, 20-30 min at 350F, should be convection baked at 275F for 40-50 min! Between the tables and working by analogy from recipes given in the book, I can almost always adapt a recipe for convection and get good results the first time. It also made me aware of other uses of the ovens -- I now dehydrate fruits and vegetables in them and do all my simmering in the oven.
I recommend this book all the time to friends who are struggling to get the promised benefits out of their convection ovens (and, believe me, those benefits are real), and I recommend it highly to you. The oven manufacturers should get it reprinted and pack it for delivery with their products.
