Book Description

June 1999
Here is the book that shows vegetarians how to make their special diet needs convenient, an idea that before now, seemed foreign to those who don't eat meat. With opening chapters on organizing the kitchen, tools, and vegetarian convenience items available at the grocery store, a meat-free diet has never been so easy.

Especially helpful are the vegetarian convenience items you can make at home -- jars of spices for instant risotto, mixtures for favorite sauces -- these are just a couple of the great ideas that make The Convenient Vegetarian as interesting to read as it is useful. Recipes range from Risotto with White Beans and Olives, to Spiced Tofu and Pasta, to Tomato Lentil Soup. Also included are ideas for turning yesterday's leftovers into a completely new meal for tonight, making vegetarian cooking as economical as it is delicious.

Vegetarianism continues to grow in popularity, and finally this book makes it simple to put vegetarian principles into practice for easy and satisfying meatless food.
