No book can teach a person a language completely. The book needs to be read and studied and learned. And most importantly, it needs to be practiced. One of the most important factors in getting a language fluently is EXPOSURE to the language.

Having said that, let me say that I've found this book useful. I teach and English class to Spanish-speaking adults. They have all appreciated it's thoroughness about presenting English grammar and how it is related to CONVERSATION, which is what they want it for.

One of the problems I've found with other conversational approaches is that they don't emphasize grammar as well. It's possible to do both at the same time. Sometimes we learn in large chunks at a time and other times, it's appropriate to take the knowledge apart and teach different aspects of it in an understandable way.

I've found it useful in teaching my class, and my students have appreciated its approach. I highly recommend it.

I give this book 5 stars. This book is a wonderful tool for teaching English to Spanish speakers. Without guidance, a non-English speaker would find it very dificult to understand. I use this book for teaching and create my lesson plans accordingly.

Me esperaba algo más avanzado de este libro, está bien para empezar a aprender inglés, no para "desarrollar fluidez" ni "mejorar la habilidad expresandose en ingles" para alguien que ya tenga unos conocimientos minimos...
