Book Description

This book was written with the hope of encouraging mothers to have conversations with their daughters about topics that are very important but are often difficult to discuss.

After reading it, hopefully daughters will be encouraged to go to their mothers, aunts, or other female relative and ask these sometimes “hard questions” and hopefully, mothers will be encouraged to initiate conversations (even if uncomfortable at first) that will answer these same questions for their daughters.

5.0 out of 5 stars VERY RESOURCEFUL AND A WONDERFUL READ September 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Wow, what can I say about this book ? It is a book that is very resourceful and a guide that helps us all especially parents or mother's talk to us Children about the most important and intimate subjects and that is the subjects of among other things such as "Adult relations and activities." or as we all know it as SEX! and the importance of having maturity and not jumping into it lightly. And realizing that what we do has consequences. It also is real helpful because at the same time talking about these topics can get real uncomfortable to talk about and that at a lot of times children especially as they get older start asking questions. We as a society most of the time just want to avoid the subject all together. Anyhow we do not have to because of all the good resources and content in this book. after I got done reading it the thought came to my mind of "I wish that when I was younger someone would have talked to me about this topic!" A definite good read and two thumbs up! I definitely recommend it

5.0 out of 5 stars A conversation August 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I read A Conversation with My Mother About Sex, Boys, and How She Married My Father in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I was provided a paperback copy of the book.

The book was a quick read. The book is about Arielle. Arielle is a young female, who at first was going through puberty. The book then progresses to her mother teaching Arielle about sex (emotions, the dangers, peer pressure, pregnancy, stds, etc). Her mother also told her about how she wasn't a virgin when she married Arielle's father. Arielle's father was not around at first, but eventually turned in a great dad and husband.

Mama Deanna is willing to be open and honest about sex. She is willing to have Arielle ask those uncomfortable questions about sex. Mama stresses the importance of waiting until marriage to have sex. and Yes, this book is written from a Christian perspective.

The book is a great read. It can be used to facilitate conversations about sex. The book is one long conversation between mother and daughter.

A Conversation with my Mother about Sex, Boyx, and How She Married My Dad

author, Constance A. Banks

This is a helpful and motivating book, that will help you approach your children and tell them about Sex, relationships, and the opposite sex.

These are absolutly important for many to learn at a young age, and who not to tell you about it but someone you love, who has raised you, and has been through the same thing.

This book will not only show you how the family, a mother and her daughter begin to talk and approach the question, but how it can be easier for you to tell your children as well, and in a way that will help make the issues feel less embarassing or strange.

As I mentioned, its about A mother and her daughter having a conversation about boys, sex and her dad.. Arielle, aka Arie is the daughter who begins to understand what her mom ment a girl should grow up physically, spiritually, emotionaly and mentally prepared.

I always felt myself that having a sit down with a child can be difficult, and quite strange, if you don't know how to really approach the subject. Sometimes, the idea just sounds a bit ackward to hear from your parents, but you really do need to mention something and allow them to understand this before it becomes too late, and they either obtain a disease or not understand whats going on with there hormones or how to even go about having a healthy and wonderful marriage/relationship..

this book is a gem, worth the buy:)

5 stars all the way

In an effort to assist our daughters with the information and tools to make better decisions, we (mothers) have to be transparent. This book facilitates the necessary conversations. The writing is clear, simple and 100% transparent. I will surely read with my children over dinner this week! Thank you Constance!

My oldest daughter who is 15, got it and we had a good conversation about the principles of the book. My youngest daughter 11, said it was too much for her. Lol. She stopped reading, guess she was not ready yet. Maybe next year! Thanks for writing and publishing!
