Love the original but not the Kindle version,
This review is from: Conversations with God, An Uncommon Dialogue: Living in the World with Honesty, Courage, and Love (Kindle Edition)
I have the original paperbacks of Book 1, Book 2 and Book 3 of the CwG series, they are simply the best books I've ever read.
But this review is about Kindle. I thought I would get the Kindle version of CwG so that I can read it wherever I want (ever since I got my Kindle I could finally stop carrying paperbacks around). Luckily I grabbed the sample to check on the quality before buying it. Unlike the other Kindle books I've read, the Kindle conversion of this book is really bad - the font is weird, the text is blurry, and as much as I love reading the original paperbacks, I can't imagine myself enjoying the Kindle version. What is more weird, is that there are Kindle versions of Book 2 and Book 3, but not Book 1. What's up with that?

Buy This Book... Seriously,
By
This review is from: Conversations with God, An Uncommon Dialogue: Living in the World with Honesty, Courage, and Love (Hardcover)
Sometimes someone or something comes into your life at precisely the right moment that it seems it should. We've all had this experience, I'm sure of it. I'm on page 28 of this book and I've been reading it, writing down quotations in my journal, thinking a lot about so many things on every single page... I just couldn't help but jump online and give this book 5 stars. It's wild you know... I accidentally bought this book, as it's book #2 and I was meaning to buy book #1 seeing as how I haven't read it yet. This book was recommended to me by a girl I've met recently in Narcotics Anonymous. I'm back to a path of love now. Self love, and a love of others and all things as I was once upon a time. This book is really a gem. Truly unique. I've just started to soften up to the idea of "God," as I know him/her/it. There is no precondition of religion, faith, or belief to appreciate this book and the wisdom it holds within. I've just gotta say, I cannot put this book down until it's finished, and it's gonna take me some time because I'm journalling TONS about every page I read. What a book... everyone should read this. Much love, and peace! :)

I just finished CwG Book 1. It was a life-changer for me, and I immediately ordered what was labeled as Book 2. Unfortunately, it turned out to be Book 3. So now I've ordered the one labeled Book 3 and I hope it turns out to be Book 2. Not sure whether it's an Amazon issue or a publisher issue, but buyer be warned.
Meanwhile, I can't wait to read them both. As I said, life changing stuff.

The Best and Most Holy books ever Written!,
By
This review is from: Conversations with God, An Uncommon Dialogue: Living in the World with Honesty, Courage, and Love (Hardcover)
How sad that those brainwashed bible worshippers can come here and comment or share their thoughts, review of these Holy books by Neale. I pretty much guarantee they have not read these books and the Ones who have, took every statement from God and compared it to the bible to make their judgement. The bible was written hundreds of years after jesus left this Earth, and was written by authors we do not know, they remain anonymous. We were not there when the authors of the bible submitted their writings to those in Charge, the editors who put that old book together and made all the decisions about what would be in that book and what would not. The Romans were in charge back then, much of that old book is written in Code mainly to keep the Romans from destroying the writings, and anyone else who did not agree with them. Jesus used Stories, metaphor to try and reach his people who had a hard time understanding the things he spoke of. It is very hard to teach human beings about the things in other dimensions, the truth of who we really are, where we have come from and the reality about God. These New Revealations are meant for our society as it is now. They are meant for the people living here and now in our times, under the circumstances we find ourselves entrenched in. You cannot possibly take notes or journal these books because each page is full of incredible wisdom, perfect answers and Divine explanations about Life, God, Jesus, Angels and what we can expect and experience after we lay these bodies down once and for all. Every page in these new books will bring a tear of joy to your eyes. Because you will finally feel good about the important things and important questions human beings have all had throughout their lives. The information passed down to use here, all of it, makes perfect sense, feels so right and good and touches our Soul deep down like nothing before. Unlike the bible, there is no confusion or hard to understand teachings, lessons or guidance here. It is written in our time for our people living here and now in our language. No translation needed! You just don't want these books to end, ever. God can and will reach out to us, in many ways, every day, always and not through special Ones in special buildings. How ridiculous is that? We have human beings commenting here about these books, who really feel they can judge who God would speak to, who God would deliver information Through and how God would do that. Amazingly they feel they can state or judge just what God would say and to whom. If they read something here and they cannot find the same info in the bible, they come here and state this book is worthless and not from God. They have totally ignored the message, because they have lived their lives thinking or believing that God only spoke to us just Once and to never speak to us again. And if God would speak to us again, it would be from their Chosen source or person, and NOT from Neale Donald Walsch. Sad as it is, this is the truth. These books will work wonders for any human being who allows this info to sink in and to see just how it feels to them deep down inside. Do yourselves a huge favor and get all of these books from this series of Conversations and do it Now.

This review is from: Conversations with God, An Uncommon Dialogue: Living in the World with Honesty, Courage, and Love (Kindle Edition)
AWesome! one has to remember this was neale's conversation, his questions. as was repeated over & over, if you expect god to only show up one way, you miss god completely.
as one who was raised catholic, i found this book to be a godsend! i never could make peace with that bellief system. now i am on my way to true freedom, purposely creating my own reality, loving the contrast & choise! thank you, neale, for having the courage to publish your conversation! also, for showing us another way of having our own.

I ordered all three books on the strength of other reviews and recommendations.
When I got the books, I have to say I was a little surprised at how 'local' this American-style God was. For example, in discussing WW2 and the events that led to the decision to bomb Hiroshima, only one aspect of this massive war was mentioned...you guessed it. The Pearl Harbour bombing! !!! Another aspect which 'surprised' me was the exortations to have lots and lots of sex. Well, I've been hearing this same message from every boy that ever looked at me sideways since I was about 15 years old. 'God' has gotta have a lot more to this aspect of physicality /sexuality ...? What about scientfic studies that seem to show that the higher the number of sexual partners, the less oxytocin (bonding hormone) released, particularly by men, but notable in both genders? Elsewhere in the book, there is reference made to the economic oppression of women ... but the link between the sexual use of women and other means of exploitation are never made clear. In a book where God does not shy from politics, and in a world where starving women are forced to prostitute themselves for food, I found this strange. There is no discussion of the spiritual worth - or otherwise - of the process of giving birth. Women commonly relate giving birth as a profound spiritual experience. Are women simply dreaming when they say this? One more thing - the references again and again to noble savage myths. Australian Aborigines are lauded as gentle fonts of wisdom who were so advanced they would copulate in public. Not as all sure about that one, but one thing that is known is the heavy violence exacted against women. There are many historical references by first white settlers as to the horrific scars carried by Aboriginal women. Perhaps an American God can't be expected to know this? Or was he simply too polite to say. All in all, a worthwhile if sentimental book.

Was looking forward to this book because I've written some 'conversations with God' for a newsgroup over the years. I like the idea of taking a deeper view. There were some jewels of ideas in this book in terms of the "Real" God but the occasional chumminess detracted and distracted from the writing. As a former Christian, the atheist/agnostic, now searcher, I thought I might find a serious home run. So I can report some of the ideas (put through the God side of the conversation) were seriously thought provoking and interesting, some could have been left out, particularly the banter, and a clearer distinction between who was talking.
The author apparently has created himself a mission and that's OK, but that also makes this look a bit self serving and self promoting. I realized a long time ago that my own (earthly) Dad would never punish me or send me to eternal fire so that made my Dad's love greater than the Yahweh. Showing more as to why Yahweh (and others) are strictly man made for the purpose of control is a worthy task.

I choose to not purchase anything else from Amazon if they continue to push the sale of such a book. It totally goes AGAINST God's word for our life, the Holy Bible. It is very disgusting and appalling.

Naturally, if you are familiar with the Holy Bible, then you would immediately find out that most of the ideologies of this book are contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. This is packed with "there is no right or wrong", "there is nothing to forgive" garbage, or the "don't judge" crowd. It is the ever rising secular take on "spirituality"- far from true religion. It will quote the bible many times but it takes a tidbit of truth and completely turn it around to fit a very liberal agenda. Oprah recommends the book, need I say more- the woman who says Jesus Christ did not come to save us but to make us aware of "christ -consciousness". Put this alongside Eckhart Tolle's books and you are on your way to the new age-ideology. True Christians- keep this away from your kids.
